The 2026 Thu Bon Goddess Festival vividly recreates the spiritual culture of Quang Nam province, attracting a large number of tourists.

A long procession stretches across the fields during the 2026 Ba Thu Bon Festival.
Thousands of locals and tourists from all over gathered on both banks of the Thu Bon River (Nong Son commune, Da Nang city) to attend the 2026 Thu Bon Goddess Festival. This is one of the largest festivals here, held on a large scale from March 28th to 30th (corresponding to the 10th to 12th days of the second lunar month).

People in traditional costumes participated in the procession of the Sacred Decree, vividly recreating the spiritual and cultural atmosphere of Quang Nam province.
This year's festival continues to affirm the value of a national intangible cultural heritage. From early morning on the main day of the festival (February 12th according to the lunar calendar), the atmosphere at Dinh Ba (Nong Son commune) and Lang Ba (Duy Tan commune, Duy Xuyen district) became solemn with traditional rituals expressing gratitude to ancestors and the worship of the Goddess by the local people.
The ceremony begins with the Water Procession: Magnificent dragon boats travel upstream on the Thu Bon River to request "clean water" for the offering to the Goddess, praying for a year of favorable weather and a bountiful harvest. This is followed by the Procession of the Sacred Decree and the Grand Sacrifice: Elders in formal attire, including long robes and headscarves, perform ceremonial songs praising the virtues of the Goddess Thu Bon, revered by the people as "Mother of the Land," a symbol of protection and compassion.

The elders performed a solemn grand ceremony, expressing the gratitude and religious devotion of the local people to Lady Thu Bồn.
Besides spiritual rituals, the 2026 Thu Bon Goddess Festival also brings a new lease of life with many unique cultural and sporting activities: traditional boat racing, Bài Chòi (traditional Vietnamese folk singing) space, rural fair and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products… Visitors come here not only to sightsee, but also to experience and feel the interplay between people, nature and spiritual life.

Lion dances and processions add to the lively atmosphere of the festival.
According to Ly Xuan Phong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nong Son commune, the locality has determined that organizing the festival will both preserve traditional values and improve quality year after year. The festival is not only a religious activity but is gradually taking shape as a cultural product with depth, contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Nong Son within the overall development space of the city.
