The Ministry of Construction has just established a working group to visit various localities to inspect and monitor the management and stabilization of road transport fares, while also addressing difficulties to ensure the smooth operation of the road transport supply chain.

It is expected that in April 2026, the delegation will work directly with the Department of Construction and several transportation businesses that have significantly increased freight rates in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Dak Lak. In addition, the head of the delegation is authorized to proactively adjust and add localities and units to the working group depending on actual developments, with at least two working days' notice.

The Ministry of Construction requested that provincial construction departments prepare comprehensive reports for the delegation, focusing on topics such as: directing and managing freight rates; assessing the impact of fuel prices on transportation activities, including supply in the area; and implementing regulations on price declaration and listing.

The report should clarify the reasons for price adjustments, compare declared prices, listed prices, and actual selling prices, thereby assessing the level of compliance by businesses. Local authorities must also provide information on the current state of freight rate fluctuations, management solutions in the context of changing fuel prices, and specific recommendations.

For businesses with fare increases exceeding 30%, the Ministry of Construction requires the submission of price declaration documents for the two most recent consecutive periods along with the report, in order to facilitate a comprehensive review and assessment.
