“Wine is more than a drink. It is a culture - wine culture, not only makes the drinker sublime, wine also helps to read the drinker's taste”, Mr. Daniel Carsol - Investor of VMV Asia Company (Phu Hoi Industrial Park, Duc Trong), affirmed.

Talking about the reason for choosing Da Lat as a place to produce wine, Daniel Carsol shared: “Why not Da Nang , or Nha Trang, but Da Lat? Because Da Lat is similar to Bordeaux - a famous wine producing place in France”. Before building the Cellier Indochina Factory - under VMV Asia Company, in Phu Hoi Industrial Park, in 2008, he planted experimental grapes in Ta Nung (Da Lat) and realized that this place had many similarities with Bordeaux. Daniel Carsol cherished the plan to open a wine factory producing French-style wine in Da Lat. After that, he met Ms. Ly Ngoc Thuy Hong Hanh - a person who shared the same hobby of growing grapes to make wine, and then became husband and wife. In 2017, the Cellier Indochina Wine Factory of the couple Hong Hanh - Daniel Carsol was established. Hong Hanh is the Executive Director of the factory. The Cellier Indochina winery covers an area of 1.2 hectares, including an office area, a factory, a warehouse and an empty lot in the back. “We are planning to build a wine showroom in that empty lot for visitors to enjoy wine, visit the factory, learn about the wine making process, have snacks...”, said Ms. Hong Hanh.

According to her, Cellier Indochina specializes in providing wines with standard French taste and flavor. Cellier Indochina's method of operation is to import wine from France, then extract, process, filter and bottle. During the transportation process, wine in large tanks is always preserved according to a strict process to ensure maximum quality and flavor. Mr. Truong Minh Hoang - a worker at the Cellier Indochina Wine Factory, said: "Here, the largest wine tank has a capacity of up to 24,000 liters". Each year, VMV Asia Company exports about 20 containers of wine to China, Thailand and Cambodia. In addition, VMV Asia Company also supplies wine to companies, restaurants and hotels in some localities in the country. “I could not imagine that in Duc Trong there would be a wine factory of such a large scale, with full processes, equipment, ensuring hygiene and safety, and so eye-catching! The owner is very knowledgeable about wine and wine production processes. She is a true wine enthusiast, not just for business,” musician Quynh Hop confided.

Musician Quynh Hop expressed that she bought wine at Cellier Indochina not because of the cheap price, but because of the quality. It was the quality of the wine here that convinced musician Quynh Hop. “French quality” is the business philosophy of Cellier Indochina. “Come here to see the reality and feel how we create quality bottles of wine,” emphasized Mr. Daniel Carsol. Regarding the intention of organizing a tour to visit the wine production process of the Cellier Indochina Wine Factory, Director of Da Lat Flower Street Tourism Company Truong Thi Minh said: “I think organizing a tour is very feasible”. However, Ms. Minh added: “The factory needs to research and adjust some spaces, as well as build some additional parking lots and restrooms. I think the factory should design a one-way walkway for visitors to learn about the product bottling process and the wine tasting space should also be expanded, along with selling additional, suitable snacks”.
