In terms of infrastructure, Thanh Son Airport boasts two runways over 3,000m long, meeting the standards to accommodate narrow-body aircraft such as the Airbus A321 or equivalent. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, this airport is classified as level 4C, making it eligible for planning and upgrading into a dual-use airport, serving both military and civilian purposes in the future.

According to Ninh Thuan province's planning proposal, Thanh Son airport has great potential for expansion and development of a civil aviation area. It is projected that this area could serve approximately 5 million passengers per year. The conversion into a dual-use airport is expected to create a significant impetus, boosting economic and tourism development and ensuring national defense and security for the entire region.

Since Thanh Son Airport does not yet serve commercial flights, Cam Ranh Airport is the main air gateway for tourists wishing to visit Ninh Thuan.

- Travel time: Approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the mode of transport and traffic conditions.
