As of the morning of December 2nd, the decorations for the festival have been completed. Accordingly, at the entrance to Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village and along the main roads leading into the village, numerous banners, flags, and fresh flowers have been erected. This contributes to creating a colorful and joyful atmosphere to welcome the festival.
At the exhibition area, showcasing unique tourism images, OCOP products, typical agricultural products, and distinctive local products, the Organizing Committee is also focusing on completing the remaining stages.
Besides the decorations, this year's festival will feature many rich and attractive activities. Many of these activities will be held at the old houses. To ensure thorough preparation and attract visitors, the old houses have been actively beautifying their grounds and landscaping. This is to best serve visitors and facilitate the activities during the festival.
Mr. Phan Van Duc, owner of the Ba Duc ancient house, said: “This year, my family's ancient house has been chosen to host the competition for ceremonial offerings and fruit platters, and the seminar on developing tourism products in Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village: Connecting Heritage - Creativity - Sustainability. To ensure the smooth running of the activities, the ancient house has focused on beautifying and trimming trees and fences. At the same time, we have arranged the dining area and seminar space appropriately. At this point, the ancient house is ready for all the festival activities.”
Meanwhile, at the Ông Kiệt ancient house area, over the past few days, the site has been trimming trees and tidying up the grounds to welcome visitors during the festival. Ms. Lê Thị Chín, the owner of the Ông Kiệt ancient house, said that this year, the ancient house will host a competition for arranging ceremonial offerings and fruit platters. This will be an activity to attract tourists. Ms. Chín shared: “Generally, this year, the number of tourists visiting the ancient house is less than in previous years. Therefore, we hope that after the festival, especially the reenactment of the Cái Bè floating market, we will attract more tourists to visit the ancient village.”

This is an opportunity for the people of Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village in particular and Dong Thap province in general to promote the image, culture, and people of the province to domestic and international tourists. At the same time, it promotes the development of tourism in the province, affirming Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Village as an attractive destination.
