Landslide in Phu Tho buries 3 people.

On the afternoon of December 14th, a landslide in Phu Tho province buried three people. Authorities mobilized rescue forces and equipment.

According to the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention, at 2:30 PM on December 14th, a landslide occurred at Km124+300 on National Highway 6, in Thung Khe hamlet (Mai Chau commune, Phu Tho province), burying three people. These included two road management company workers who were painting road markings and one unidentified local resident who was crossing the road on a motorbike.

Local authorities mobilized 30 militia members, 30 commune police officers and soldiers, along with the Fire and Rescue Police force (Phu Tho Provincial Police) for search and rescue operations.

Notably, over the past two days, Mai Chau has only experienced light rain: the total rainfall on December 13th was 6.7mm, and on December 14th it was 5mm.
