Scholes and Giggs are coming to Vietnam. |
This afternoon (June 26th), four Manchester United legends – Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Dwight Yorke, and Michael Owen – will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Afterwards, the former Red Devils stars are expected to fly to Da Nang to participate in the Vietnam-UK Football Festival 2025, which will take place on June 26th and 27th.
Prior to that, this group of former football legends will visit and participate in some interactive activities with fans at Tam Anh General Hospital.
On June 25th, two other former Manchester United legends, Wes Brown and Teddy Sheringham, also arrived in Da Nang to attend the aforementioned event.
On June 27th, a special friendly match between Manchester United legends and a team of former Vietnamese national team players will take place at Hoa Xuan Stadium in Da Nang. The participation of famous former players such as Scholes, Giggs, Owen, and Sheringham creates great interest among football fans and internationally.
Besides competing, the former star players also participate in fan meet-and-greet programs, autograph sessions, charitable activities, and promote the city's tourism and sports .
For Giggs and Scholes, this wasn't the first time these two legends had visited Vietnam. In 2017, the duo came to Hanoi and later attended the inauguration ceremony of the PVF Youth Football Training Center in Hung Yen.
Giggs and Scholes are also two of the most prominent legends from Sir Alex Ferguson's golden generation, helping the Old Trafford club win numerous titles throughout their careers.
