Samsung boss reveals about Galaxy S26

In its latest quarterly earnings announcement, Samsung revealed its strategy for the launch of its flagship Galaxy S26 series.

Specifically, at the Q3 2025 earnings announcement meeting, Mr. Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung's Mobile Experience Division, said that the Galaxy S26 series will "revolutionize the user experience with next-generation, user-centric AI, along with a custom-designed processor with outstanding performance, including new camera sensors."

Mr. Araujo's statement above almost confirms that the Galaxy S26 series will be equipped with Exynos 2600 chip in some markets. Exynos 2600 is expected to be the first 2nm chip produced by Samsung's chip foundry.

Previous reports also suggested that Samsung will continue to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip for the Galaxy S26, which reinforces the possibility that the company will maintain the dual-chip strategy it has previously adopted.

While a previous report suggested that only the standard Galaxy S26 will use an Exynos chip, while the higher-end models will use a Qualcomm chip, all details still need to wait for official confirmation from Samsung.

The custom-designed processor that Mr. Araujo mentioned could also refer to a special "For Galaxy" version of the Snapdragon processor.

"The research on the chip for the Galaxy S26 is still ongoing, so we cannot confirm about next year's flagship product line yet," said Mr. Araujo.

Mr. Araujo also announced that Samsung will continue to innovate its foldable phone line, to strengthen its product portfolio and bring new experiences to expand its customer base. In parallel, the company also plans to expand the health AI features on the Galaxy Watch and develop more Bluetooth headset products.

Samsung highlighted the success of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and noted solid demand for its flagship devices, tablets, and wearables during the quarter. Despite a slight decline in sales in the US and South Korea, Samsung's overall performance improved year-over-year.

Going forward, Samsung said it will increase AI integration into its flagship smartphones, including the upcoming Galaxy S26 and new foldable devices. The company will use seasonal promotions and push ecosystem devices such as watches and headphones to maintain growth momentum.

Samsung said it will prioritize AI leadership and innovative form factors by 2026. The company also predicts rising prices for key components like memory, which could lead to higher product prices.
