As the high school graduation exam draws closer, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam once again becomes a familiar destination for thousands of students and parents.
On the morning of June 7th, a large number of parents and students flocked to Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giám to offer incense and pray for good luck before the 2026 high school graduation exam.
The Temple of Literature - National University, Vietnam's first university, has long been a symbol of the tradition of valuing education. It has become a familiar destination for many before important exams. Many students and parents come here to offer incense, visit the doctoral steles, and express their hopes for academic success and a bright future.
Besides offering incense and praying for good luck, this year the students also received a special gift - Dang Khoa mangoes. These mangoes were harvested from old mango trees within the historical site's grounds, carrying wishes of good luck and success from the staff of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giám to the students before the exam season.
On June 6th and 7th, hundreds of Dang Khoa mangoes were handed out to students taking the doctoral exams at the Doctoral Examination Stele Garden area. The mangoes were carefully harvested, selected, and nurtured by staff from the Temple of Literature - National University from the time they were still on the branches until they were given to the recipients.
The mangoes from Dang Khoa became a source of encouragement for the contestants before this important milestone.

The Dang Khoa mangoes were handed directly to the students as a wish for good luck before the important exam. Throughout the program, volunteers and staff from the Monument Management Board were always on hand to guide and assist parents and candidates in completing the procedures, ensuring that the mango distribution process was quick, convenient, and orderly.

Many students respectfully lit incense, clasped their hands, and prayed for good health, composure, and the desired exam results. Quite a few had prepared their prayers beforehand, either printed or saved on their phones, to read during the ceremony.
