- In response to the digital transformation trend in import and export activities, many logistics businesses in the province have proactively applied technology, improved management capabilities, and diversified services to adapt to the digital border gate model.
Lang Son is a locality with vibrant import and export activities. In recent years, the province has accelerated the deployment of a digital border gate platform, contributing to the digitization of the operational and management processes for import and export vehicles and goods. Recognizing this trend, many logistics businesses have actively applied technology and software to their production and business operations.

As one of the enterprises operating in the field of port and logistics services in the Huu Nghi International Border Gate area, Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company is a prime example in the province of applying technology. Since 2022, the company has comprehensively and synchronously implemented a three-stage roadmap: digitizing internal processes and training personnel, building a digital culture; integrating systems, ensuring data security and risk management; and building a comprehensive digital ecosystem, applying advanced technologies.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, General Director of Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company, stated: "In the logistics sector, technology is a key factor in creating transformative changes. Therefore, from 2022 to the present, the company has implemented five core software applications; effectively operated enterprise accounting software, cost control and financial reporting software (Bravo); and automated vehicle entry and exit management software (Parking Management)... These solutions not only enhance customer experience but also help businesses reduce operating costs, minimize errors, shorten vehicle turnaround time, and boost growth. In the first six months of 2026 alone, the company's revenue reached approximately 94% of the planned target, contributing over 45.5 billion VND to the state budget. Basic production and business indicators all recorded growth rates of 5-10% compared to the same period in 2025. Currently, the company employs over 600 workers."
Similarly, Chi Ma HTT General Import-Export Services Joint Stock Company has also quickly adopted and applied digital technology to its business operations. Mr. Mai Duc Trung, General Director of Chi Ma HTT General Import-Export Services Joint Stock Company, said: In recent years, the company has focused on investing in technological infrastructure, gradually digitizing management and operation to meet the requirements of the digital border gate model. Currently, the company is operating three software programs for accounting, warehouse management, and human resources, asset management, work, timekeeping, and recruitment (MISA AMIS)... The company also develops comprehensive logistics services, connecting warehouses, transportation, customs agents, and transshipment of goods, creating convenience for customers in import and export activities.
Besides the two aforementioned businesses, there are currently 14 businesses operating in the logistics sector in the province. These businesses have proactively invested in technological infrastructure, applying software systems, virtual assistants, and artificial intelligence (AI) to serve their operations in port and logistics services. In addition, they have invested in smart surveillance camera systems; integrated advanced technologies from Google and Amazon; and applied AI agents for data analysis.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, Head of the Management Board of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Economic Zone, shared: The proactive adaptation and promotion of digital transformation by logistics businesses operating at the province's border gates has helped improve operational efficiency, shorten processing times for documents, and coordinate transportation... In the coming time, the board will continue to coordinate with relevant departments and units to effectively operate the digital border gate platform; strengthen support for businesses to access digital transformation solutions, improve service quality, and gradually form a modern and synchronized logistics ecosystem... Thereby, contributing to improving customs clearance capacity, reducing costs, and promoting sustainable import and export activities, enhancing Lang Son's role as an important trade gateway between Vietnam and China.
In the context of increasingly modern import and export activities, digital transformation is no longer an option but a necessity for logistics businesses. Proactively investing in technological infrastructure and applying software in management, operation, and service provision not only helps businesses enhance their competitiveness but also contributes to building a modern logistics ecosystem, meeting the development requirements of the digital border gate model. This is also an important foundation for Lang Son to continue leveraging its trade advantages, improving customs clearance efficiency, and promoting sustainable border gate economic development.
