As is customary, whenever the European Football Championship (Euro) kicks off, electronics supermarkets launch numerous promotions and offer drastic discounts on televisions to attract customers. According to surveys conducted in the province, many electronics supermarkets and home appliance stores are implementing a series of promotional programs offering shocking discounts on television models. Promotional programs such as "Spectacular Sale, Celebrating the Champions" and "Dream of Euro, Upgrade to a Bigger TV" are being applied by electronics stores, with a wide range of televisions discounted, some by as much as 70%.

Electronics retailers are competing to lower TV prices during the Euro 2024 season to attract customers.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, manager of Mediamart Tuyen Quang electronics supermarket, most televisions are being offered at significantly reduced prices to welcome Euro 2024. Many programs, such as exchanging old TVs for new ones with a 2 million VND subsidy, and raffles with prizes worth 1.2 billion VND, are being implemented and attracting a large number of consumers. With a diverse range of products, good quality, and promotional policies from supermarkets and electronics stores, people of all income levels can afford to buy a large-screen television.

Considered one of the most exciting tournaments on the planet, the Euro even boasts a higher level of professionalism and competitiveness compared to the World Cup or Copa America. To enjoy the football spectacle, many people seek out lively and crowded spaces to watch the matches, and many cafes and restaurants are preparing to cater to fans. Not only have they installed additional televisions, but some establishments have invested in large LED screens to meet audience demand.

Walking around the streets of Tuyen Quang city in the early morning, it's easy to feel the atmosphere of this year's Euro tournament. Nguyen Hong Giang, owner of Bia Viet restaurant in Viet My Vilas urban area, Phan Thiet ward, Tuyen Quang city, shared that most football fans prefer sitting with friends in a spacious, airy environment. Therefore, he proactively purchased more tables and chairs, fans, and especially installed a large-screen projector and high-definition receiver to serve customers. Since the start of the Euro tournament, the restaurant's revenue has increased 3-4 times compared to normal days.

Mr. Giang also shared that, due to regulations prohibiting the use of alcohol while driving, most customers travel by taxi to ensure safety. Therefore, the restaurant becomes less crowded after midnight, with most remaining customers being regulars and people from nearby.

Sipping coffee and enjoying football with excitement, experiencing it in his own unique way, Mr. Dinh Van Thinh, from Group 10, Tan Quang Ward, Tuyen Quang City, recounts that for his generation, each Euro season brings back beautiful memories, of all-night gatherings with the round ball. Now, conditions are better than before, every household has a TV, and they can watch at home, but older generations like him still choose to watch football together, to relive a part of their youthful memories.

Unlike the bustling city, the people in the highland communes of the province enjoy the Euro tournament in a simple way: a pot of green tea, baskets of freshly boiled peanuts still fragrant with the scent of the earth, and bunches of kumquats hastily picked from the garden – all reflecting a rustic charm. Mr. La Van Huong, from Na Mo residential area, Na Hang town (Na Hang district), despite being busy with farming, still managed to arrange his schedule to watch the match from the start. Mr. Huong said that this year his family bought a 65-inch TV to watch the Euro, and his house has been a gathering place for young people and neighbors since the beginning of the season. He said that fans in the countryside sometimes don't remember all the players' names or confuse the teams, but that doesn't matter to them because, around the TV in their small yard, the bonds of neighborly friendship are strengthened. With each goal scored, cheers erupt, breaking the usual quiet of the evenings in these remote rural areas.

Another Euro tournament is coming to an end, but the stories of "staying up late and waking up early" will always remain fond memories in the hearts of fans. Everyone may enjoy watching the game in their own way, but ultimately, it's the undying love of football shared by people of all ages.
