Accordingly, the plan aims to promote the movement of physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho, responding to the Month of Action for the Elderly; actively building and developing grassroots sports clubs for middle-aged and elderly members to participate in physical exercise and sports, improve health, increase longevity; create more fun - healthy - useful playgrounds for the elderly in the capital. Especially, honoring the contributions and dedication of generations of elderly people to their families, society and community.

The highlight of the program was a mass gymnastic performance by members of the City Elderly Association on the walking street of Tran Nhan Tong Street with 2,100 people performing in mass; a series of gymnastic performances to the music “Healthy for the country”; and a mass gymnastic performance to the music “Oh Vietnam”.

Within the framework of the Festival, there is also a cultural and sports program of the Outdoor Health Association for the middle-aged and elderly of the city, including: Martial arts, music "Praise the Fatherland" with 130 participants; Tai Chi, music "Hanoi People" with 210 participants; gymnastics with balls, instrumental music with 120 participants; "Rice village, flower village" fan dance with 90 participants.

In addition, there are group sports dances including: VALS music “Let the wind take you away” with 36 participants; PASODOBLE, international instrumental music with 48 participants; tai chi rattan ball, music “Moon shadow” with 90 participants; Vietnamese ao dai dance music “A glimpse of the homeland” with 120 participants; dance and singing “Old age song”, “Oh Vietnam” with 700 participants.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to preside over the organization of the Festival; the City Elderly Association guided and urged the Representative Boards of the Elderly Associations of districts, towns and cities to mobilize members (70 people from each district and town) to participate in the mass performance at the walking street of Tran Nhan Tong Street, the continuous exercise to the music "Healthy for the country" and the mass exercise to the music "Oh Vietnam"...

The event takes place from 7:30 to 11:30 on September 21, 2024 at Tran Nhan Tong walking street, Hai Ba Trung district.
