Son Heung-min has found a new club.

The South Korean striker has reached an agreement to join Los Angeles FC (LAFC) this summer.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee in this deal is no more than 15 million euros. Son did not return to England after Tottenham's tour of Asia but is waiting to sign a contract with LAFC. Despite receiving interest from several Saudi Arabian teams, he still refused and decided to move to MLS.

On August 3rd, Son completed his final match for Tottenham, drawing 1-1 against Newcastle. He did not score in this game. His teammates and Newcastle players also lined up in two rows to pay tribute to Son.

As the former Leverkusen player walked towards the technical area, the entire Seoul World Cup Stadium stood up and gave Son a standing ovation. In the arms of his teammates, Son broke down in tears.

Son concluded his 10-year stint with Tottenham with the Europa League title. He made a total of 454 appearances and scored 173 goals for Spurs.

The €15 million fee that LAFC paid is on par with the amount Inter Miami spent to sign Rodrigo De Paul from Atletico Madrid. Besides De Paul and Son, MLS also welcomed another European star, Thomas Muller (to Vancouver Whitecaps).

After joining LAFC, Son will become the team's most famous star and will bear significant responsibility for building the image of both the club and the league.
