At this time of year, the villages of Sa Pa are as beautiful as a painting, with mild weather, clear blue skies, and stunning trekking routes, making it an ideal destination for tourists. Ms. Wednesday, a tourist from London, England, spent her first day of vacation in Sa Pa with friends. Ta Van village was the stop she and her friends chose for their trip. Ms. Wednesday shared: "I find the scenery around here very beautiful, very different from what I experienced in the city. So I plan to stay here for a few more days to experience the activities and learn more about the culture and people here."

Walking along the roads in Lao Chai and Ta Van, it's easy to spot groups of tourists trekking and exploring local brocade products. Not only foreign tourists, but also many Vietnamese visitors are increasingly fond of hiking and experiencing the culture of the villages. Mr. Bui Thanh Binh from Hanoi said: "I spent two days here and had many interesting experiences such as hiking, bathing in herbal remedies of the Red Dao people, and enjoying ethnic cuisine . I am very satisfied with this trip."

According to reports, many homestays in Ta Van and Lao Chai are fully booked during this period, with some households achieving over 80% occupancy. Recognizing the increased demand for accommodation, relaxation, and experiences from tourists, service and accommodation establishments are upgrading their services. In particular, they are training staff who are both knowledgeable about ethnic culture and possess professional skills to serve tourists.
Mr. Lo A Pho, manager of La Dao Spa & Coffee in Ta Van, shared: "During holidays, the number of customers experiencing our services increases by 30-50%. To meet the needs of tourists, two months ago, the facility invited experts to train our staff, ensuring that we can provide the best possible resort services."

To enhance the visitor experience, in addition to food and accommodation services, some establishments also organize activities such as weaving, beeswax painting, and brocade embroidery. These unique handicrafts help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the culture and people of the highlands.
Not only are the villages and hamlets in Sa Pa attracting many tourists, but the community-based tourism destination of Y Tý commune, Bát Xát district, is also expected to draw visitors towards the end of the holiday period. Currently, there are nearly 30 homestays in Y Tý commune. Families have prepared the best facilities, ensuring environmental hygiene and food safety, ready to offer enjoyable experiences for tourists.

Mr. Ly Xa Xuy, owner of Y Ty Clouds homestay, said: "Before the holiday, I spent time renovating the facility, hanging up more national flags and Party flags to share in the joy of celebrating the reunification of the country. Tourists who come here are very satisfied and enjoy taking photos with those images."

This year's holiday in Y Ty was quite favorable, with only light rain in the morning, and sunny weather with sea of clouds in the afternoon. However, many homestays in Y Ty remained empty. According to some homestay owners, this year's holiday was quite long, and many tourists chose to travel south to witness the parade and visit historical sites. Some establishments had bookings as early as May 2nd, so the first two days of the holiday in Y Ty were quiet. They predict a significant increase in visitor numbers towards the end of the holiday.

With the holiday lasting until May 4th, there are still many exciting options and attractive experiences for tourists visiting Lao Cai .
