Da Nang, a popular beach destination, is dominating the travel trends for Vietnamese tourists this summer . According to a report from Booking.com based on accommodation search data for trips from June 1st to August 31st, 2026, Da Nang topped the list of the 10 most searched domestic destinations by Vietnamese travelers. Da Nang offers the ability to simultaneously meet the needs for relaxation, cultural experiences, heritage sites, entertainment, cuisine, and convenient transportation.
In early June, Da Nang's tourist beaches always attract a large number of visitors, along with many cultural, culinary, and sporting activities to meet the entertainment needs of tourists. Choosing Da Nang for his family's summer trip, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, a tourist from Hanoi, said that Da Nang's beaches are clean and beautiful, with many attractive entertainment activities, and the prices are not too expensive, perfectly suited to his family's needs.
According to Mr. Phan Minh Hai, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches, the city is building itself into an event city and an environmentally friendly city. Therefore, the Management Board coordinates the organization of major events such as IronMan, marathons, and beach and water sports events to meet the increasingly diverse needs of locals and tourists visiting Da Nang during the summer. In addition, they are strengthening management and ensuring a clean tourism environment to provide visitors with perfect experiences when coming to Da Nang.

Recently, Da Nang welcomed a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) group of 5,000 guests. This is one of the largest domestic MICE groups to visit Da Nang this year, organized by Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company, with various activities including conferences, sightseeing, and tourism experiences. According to Ms. Tran Thi Kim Cuc, Director of the Vietnam MICE Center under Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company, Da Nang has many outstanding advantages for developing MICE tourism with its synchronized infrastructure, high-quality service system, and many attractive tourism products. Bringing MICE groups to Da Nang during the summer will connect many activities combining work and experience, exploration.
Currently, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 is also in full swing and will last until the end of July. This event contributes to making Da Nang a major tourist destination in Central Vietnam during the summer.
Many promotional programs attract both domestic and international tourists.

Along with the domestic market, the international tourist market is undergoing a significant shift. Da Nang tourism is no longer heavily reliant on a single traditional market but is now welcoming a diverse range of visitors from India, Thailand, Malaysia, Europe, and more. With 27 active flight routes, including 20 regular international routes connecting to key markets such as South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, the city is gaining a competitive advantage and expanding its ability to attract international tourists.
The Da Nang tourism stimulus program for 2026, themed "Da Nang - Touching the Authentic," and the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism promotion program will be implemented throughout the year with the support of the tourism and service business community, a diverse product ecosystem, and a series of national and international-scale cultural, sports, and entertainment events, aiming to increase the length of stay, the depth of experience, and the return rate of tourists.
Currently, Da Nang will host several prominent events such as: the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival, the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival, the Da Nang International Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Festival, the An Hai Festival 2026, the Da Nang International Sea Music Festival, the Pickleball World Cup… This series of events contributes to stimulating tourism to Da Nang to enjoy the summer.
Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, stated that Da Nang is a leading locality nationwide in organizing programs and activities to attract tourists to the destination. Recently, the city has implemented a series of tourism stimulus activities and announced these programs very early on.

With the introduction of a series of new products and preferential policies, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Tourism Association, will introduce three groups of preferential products directly for visitors to Da Nang: the culinary passport, the heritage passport, and the green passport. A series of discounts and promotions from major businesses in Da Nang will also be implemented to make it easier for tourists to visit. This stimulus program aims to enhance the experience and add value for tourists.
The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism forecasts that the number of tourists staying in the city during the summer months from June to August will reach 6.2 - 6.5 million, an increase of 23 - 27% compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, international tourists are estimated at over 2.5 million, and domestic tourists at 3.7-4 million. The occupancy rate for 4-star, 5-star and equivalent hotels is estimated at 75-80%.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, stated that, in the context of tourists increasingly prioritizing safety when choosing destinations, Da Nang's tourism stimulus programs not only offer authentic experiences but also lay the foundation for a safe, friendly, and reliable tourism environment. Each tourist's journey in Da Nang is implemented with comprehensive solutions ranging from tourism environment management and service quality control to rapid support mechanisms through the 24/7 Tourist Support Center and the Rapid Response Team, always ready to assist.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this summer the tourism industry will participate in promotional activities at the ITE Ho Chi Minh City Fair and organize a program to promote Da Nang's culture and tourism in South Korea.
