Strengthening solidarity and friendship.

The emulation clusters along the maritime border, the land border, and the cluster of agencies under the Border Guard Command of Hue City simultaneously held conferences to summarize emulation and reward work and the "Determined to Win" emulation movement in 2025. Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar, and Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Hue City Border Guard, affirmed: In accordance with and implementing the emulation theme "Democracy, unity, discipline, creativity, and determination to win," the agencies and units belonging to the three emulation clusters, as well as the entire Hue City Border Guard force, have focused on implementing tasks very actively and responsibly, creating outstanding results and achievements.

The units have closely coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and forces stationed in the area to firmly protect the sovereignty, security, and order of the border and maritime areas. At the same time, they have improved the effectiveness of all aspects of border defense work, effectively implementing directives, resolutions, regulations, and guidelines of the Ministry of National Defense , the Border Guard Command, and the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard, successfully fulfilling their assigned political tasks.

Border Guard units at all levels have advised and organized programs such as: "Borderland Mid-Autumn Festival"; "Spring Border Guard: Warming the Hearts of Local People"; "Spring in the Border and Islands: A Heartwarming Tet for Military and Civilians"; "Youth Month", "March at the Border"; "Warmth in Winter"... Through these meaningful programs and activities, thousands of gifts and scholarships, dozens of bicycles, and free medical examinations and medicine have been given to disadvantaged people and students along the two border lines, with a total value of over 2 billion VND. At the same time, they have advised on and implemented the emulation movement "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses", mobilizing financial support for the construction and repair of houses for disadvantaged households with a total value of over 1 billion VND.

Furthermore, border guard diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy are tasks that units within the city's Border Guard Force constantly strive to maintain close cooperation with the border protection forces of Salavan and Sekong provinces in Laos; promptly providing assistance and support to their counterparts with hundreds of gifts totaling nearly 200 million VND. When 35 out of 36 houses in Ta Lui village, Ka Lum district, Sekong province were destroyed by fire, the city's Border Guard Force provided relief to the villagers worth 260 million VND, thereby further strengthening solidarity and friendship.

Upholding sovereignty , fostering trust.

Through the "Determined to Win" emulation movement, the units have comprehensively and synchronously implemented border defense measures, contributing to maintaining national territorial sovereignty and border security.

Border guards' patrols are relentless across every stretch of the border. There have been 133 unilateral patrols involving nearly 700 officers and soldiers, and 14 joint patrols involving nearly 300 officers and soldiers from both sides. Patrols and control of trails, open areas, and border gates have been carried out effectively, with 719 patrols involving nearly 3,000 officers and soldiers. The city's Border Guard Force has spearheaded and coordinated the arrest and prosecution of 17 cases involving 21 individuals related to the transportation of prohibited goods, goods of unknown origin, illegal timber trafficking, and gambling.

Along the maritime border, units effectively carry out coastal and maritime patrols; manage and control import and export activities, immigration and emigration, and ensure security and safety in port border areas. Typical examples include the Chan May Port Border Guard Station and the Thuan An Port Border Guard Station.

Along with the task of managing and protecting the border, units within the city's Border Guard force have deployed hundreds of officers and soldiers to participate in disaster prevention and control, helping people rebuild their homes after floods and landslides, thereby fostering trust among the people.

According to Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu, the emulation movements have been closely linked to the political tasks and movements of the locality, creating a positive ripple effect. The units will continue to strongly promote the spirit of the "Determined to Win" emulation movement, creating a strong motivation for each officer and soldier to constantly strive to improve.

"This is the key motivation that drives every officer and soldier to constantly strive; units to promote the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, and determination to excellently complete all tasks, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit, worthy of the trust of the Party, the State, and the People," Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu shared.

For their outstanding achievements, dozens of collectives and individuals of the city's Border Guard Force have been awarded certificates of merit and commendations by the Border Guard Command, the Hue City People's Committee, and the Hue City Border Guard Command.
