Reprinting the work "Golden Lotus"

The National Political Publishing House, in collaboration with Omega Vietnam Book Joint Stock Company, is reprinting the work "Golden Lotus" by writer and Labor Hero Son Tung (1928-2021).

This book has been reprinted to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 / May 19, 2025).

"The Golden Lotus" is one of the representative works written about the childhood of President Ho Chi Minh, expressing the deep affection and reverence of writer Son Tung towards Uncle Ho.

With its simple yet emotionally rich writing style, the work vividly portrays the childhood of President Ho Chi Minh – from peaceful days with his family in Hue to the painful events of loss. Through 21 chapters, the book contributes to understanding the initial foundations that shaped the great character of the leader: his love of learning, his thriftiness, his integrity, his selflessness, and his spirit of justice.

The work also portrays the images of familiar people and childhood friends of Uncle Ho, such as Ms. Hanh, Mr. Tuan, Mr. Ky, Mr. Quang… – those who accompanied and shared with him throughout the turbulent childhood of young Nguyen Sinh Con (Nguyen Sinh Cung). This close bond contributed to nurturing his soul, will, and humanistic spirit.
