Tam Dao is a mountain range in northeastern Vietnam, located in Vinh Phuc province. It's called Tam Dao (Three Islands) because there are three high peaks rising above the sea of clouds: Thach Ban, Thien Thi, and Mang Chi. The highest peak reaches an absolute altitude of 1,591 meters, forming a basin-shaped valley. One of the mountains here is called Nha Tho (Church), because at its foot stands an ancient stone church.
