Italian media have revealed that MU has reached a personal agreement with Kim Min-jae. At Old Trafford, the Korean midfielder will receive a salary of 7.8 million pounds per season. According to Il Mattino, the "Red Devils" will soon find a place for the 26-year-old midfielder to stay while he plays in England.
Goal revealed that the Old Trafford club spent around £56 million to get Min-jae's signature. "Man Utd are pursuing and really want Min-jae's signature," added transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. PSG and many other clubs are interested, but Min-jae is interested in the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are willing to let Min-Jae leave for the aforementioned fee. Once the deal is approved, Min-Jae will become a record transfer for an Asian defender. Telegraph asserts that the Italian champions are more interested in keeping Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Therefore, Napoli are willing to let Min-Jae leave for the right price.
Min-jae has just become the first Korean player to win the Serie A championship with Napoli. In the history of the top 5 European championships, the 26-year-old midfielder is the second Korean player to win the championship after Park Ji-sung (MU). Min-jae left a strong mark in his first year playing in Serie A and helped Napoli win the championship after a 33-year wait.
Min-jae's luggage to Europe is an impressive height (1.9 m), the solid muscles of a classic central defender, defensive skills and impressive ability to read the game. The nickname "Monster" (Monster - PV) was given to Min-jae by fans thanks to his impressive ability to compete and fight in the air. Napoli spent 15 million pounds to bring Min-jae to play in the summer of 2022 and now they have the opportunity to earn 3 times the amount spent.
Having flourished with Napoli in both Serie A and the Champions League, Min-jae was ranked by Four Four Two magazine as one of the 10 best central defenders in the world today alongside Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba and Ruben Dias. That is an acknowledgement of Min-jae's talent.
MU quickly promoted this deal in the context of the uncertain future of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire. Meanwhile, the duo Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez sometimes encountered problems, unable to compete throughout a long season.
