From early morning, the shooting range of the 888th Infantry Regiment was buzzing with energy. Each squad and team eagerly began their live-fire exercise, session 1, using the AK submachine gun, targeting objective number 4, visible even in daylight. In the middle of the training ground, a system of bright red banners and slogans stood out: "Overcoming the sun, conquering the rain, enthusiastically practicing," "Timely, accurate, safe," "Continuing the glorious victories, glorifying the tradition,"... creating a vibrant atmosphere that spurred each officer and soldier to strive harder every minute, every second.
New recruit Y Săng Byă (8th Infantry Platoon, 5th Infantry Company, 85th Infantry Battalion) stepped onto the firing line with a calm demeanor. He adjusted his posture, followed the aiming line with his eyes, maintained a steady breathing rhythm, and then pulled the trigger decisively. The bullets left the barrel accurately. The perfect score of 30 points caused the entire training ground to erupt in cheers.

The moment she received the award for best marksman, a radiant smile lit up Y Săng Byă's face. It was a joy and pride she couldn't hide, a well-deserved reward for months of relentless training.
Confidently heading towards the firing line, recruit So Minh Tam (1st Infantry Platoon, 3rd Infantry Company, 85th Infantry Battalion) entered the shooting exercise with intense concentration. Each action was performed accurately and decisively. His score of 29 points is proof of his serious learning spirit and his determination to excel.
This year, the 888th Infantry Regiment received and trained 320 new recruits. On the sun-drenched training ground, soldiers took turns performing their shooting exercises. From basic movements to aiming techniques, everything was applied flexibly and accurately.
Commenting on the results of the first assessment, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Cong Binh, Commander of the 888th Infantry Regiment, said: "The unit had made thorough preparations, from the training grounds and practice areas to the organization, ensuring absolute safety.
