In early October 2025, at the National Shooting Range Area 3, the Gia Dinh Regiment (Ho Chi Minh City Command) conducted a company-level tactical exercise under unpredictable weather conditions. After an afternoon rain, the ground was muddy and the wind was howling, but the Regiment's field exercise area remained neat and orderly. The Hoang Cam kitchen fire burned brightly, the rice and soup were fragrant and delicious, and each hot meal was delivered to the unit on time, meeting the required standards and quantities. Behind this meticulousness was the dedication and commitment of Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Truong, Assistant Supply Officer, Logistics and Technical Department, Gia Dinh Regiment.

Wiping away the sweat and rain from his sun-tanned face, Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Truong said: "The more difficult the circumstances, the more proactively we must ensure the well-being of our soldiers. This is also an opportunity to train, contribute, and grow. It's also an experience to perform our duties well in difficult and challenging situations."

Long-term training exercises in mountainous terrain, with remote water sources, easily damp firewood, and unstable ground... pose significant challenges for logistics. However, with a sense of responsibility and practical experience, Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Truong and the logistics team consistently meet the requirements of "sufficient food, strong troops."

Before each training exercise, Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Truong always advised his superiors to carefully survey the terrain, selecting a location that was elevated, sheltered, convenient for daily life, and met tactical requirements for logistical support. When it rained heavily, he quickly covered the area with tarpaulins, reinforced the kitchens, and checked and preserved food supplies. Every detail was carefully considered. Every day, he went down to the company kitchens to guide improvements to meals and address shortcomings.

Besides providing food, the logistics support force also paid special attention to the living conditions and health of their comrades. When the encampment was flooded by rain, the soldiers organized the repair of the ground, laid down tarpaulins, sprayed mosquito repellent, and maintained cleanliness. Every evening, Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Truong and the medical team went down to each company to check the health of the soldiers, promptly handling any medical situations and ensuring that the troops remained healthy throughout the exercise.

Graduating from the Logistics Academy in 2022, Nguyen Quang Truong quickly demonstrated his capabilities in logistics and technical support. During training exercises and field exercises, he consistently performed his duties excellently, receiving numerous commendations. Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Truong is highly regarded by his colleagues and trusted by his superiors, serving as a shining example of responsibility and dedication to his work.
