At the meeting, delegates heard a report on the training results of over 500 new recruits after two months of enlistment. Accordingly, the unit organized training correctly and completely according to regulations; strictly maintained regular discipline and daily/weekly schedules; and ensured good material and spiritual well-being for the soldiers. The new recruits are gradually adapting to the military environment, showing clear improvements in awareness, conduct, organizational discipline, and team spirit.

Leaders of Military Region 7 and the Ho Chi Minh City Command directly visited and encouraged soldiers in their studies and training; they also met with and listened to the thoughts and feelings of families whose children had just enlisted.
The program also screened documentary films recording the training and development of the new recruits. In particular, the handwritten letters sent by the soldiers to their families brought much emotion to the attendees.

Soldier Nguyen Ngo Tien Duy shared that in the early days away from home, he inevitably felt a little disoriented as he adjusted to the military environment. In a letter to his family, Duy expressed his determination to continue striving to study, train, strictly adhere to discipline, and work hard to complete his duties well, living up to the trust of his loved ones.
Speaking on behalf of the soldiers' families, Mr. Vo Van Hung said that from initial anxiety, the families gradually felt reassured as they witnessed their children growing up, living disciplined, responsible lives, and bonding with their comrades. Through communication groups, relatives are regularly updated on the soldiers' studies, training, and daily lives, thereby increasing their confidence in the training environment at the unit.

Major General Tran Chi Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, commended the training results of the Gia Dinh Regiment, while also acknowledging the efforts in caring for the material and spiritual lives of new recruits and the effective models of connection between the unit and families, notably the "Letter from the Heroic Gia Dinh Regiment" model.
Major General Tran Chi Tam requested that the unit continue to improve the quality of training, take good care of the soldiers' lives; promote models of connection with families, contributing to helping soldiers feel secure and strive to complete their assigned tasks well. He also emphasized that close coordination between the unit, families, and localities plays a crucial role in the education and management of soldiers.

The meeting served as an opportunity to enhance two-way communication, strengthen the relationship between the unit and the families, and encourage new recruits to feel secure in their work, strive for self-improvement, and mature in the military environment.
