According to the Ministry of Construction , recently, construction activities have seen a number of serious workplace safety incidents, causing significant loss of life and property, and leaving long-lasting consequences for the families of the victims and society.

For example, a workplace safety incident occurred on April 17, 2025, at the Dat Cuoc Industrial Park, Bac Tan Uyen District, Binh Duong Province, resulting in 3 deaths; another workplace safety incident occurred on December 31, 2024, at the Dak Mi Hydropower Plant, Dak Glei District, Kon Tum Province, resulting in 5 deaths…

Strictly adhere to safety regulations in construction.

In response to the Prime Minister's directive regarding the serious accident at the Dat Cuoc Industrial Park, Bac Tan Uyen District, Binh Duong Province, and in hưởng to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, the Ministry of Construction requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities to direct all levels, sectors, and entities involved in construction activities to strictly implement regulations, technical standards, and applicable standards related to safety in construction projects...

At the same time, direct relevant agencies to strengthen inspections, combined with propaganda, dissemination, and guidance on the implementation of regulations, standards, and technical specifications on construction safety in the area.

Through guidance and inspection, if any shortcomings, deficiencies, or limitations are discovered, localities are requested to proactively propose solutions and measures to remedy, amend, and supplement regulations, standards, and norms to ensure they are consistent with practical realities.

The Ministry of Construction also requires that, in cases where violations of construction safety are detected, all entities involved in construction activities must immediately take corrective measures, focusing on ensuring absolute safety for workers. At the same time, it must strictly handle violating organizations and individuals; and halt construction if violations of construction safety are detected on the construction site.

Strengthen inspection and supervision.

For entities involved in construction activities, the Ministry of Construction requires strengthened implementation of regulations and measures to ensure construction safety, thereby specifying responsibilities for each department and individual managing and directly involved in construction.

Review and supplement regulations, procedures, and measures to ensure compliance with legal provisions, applicable standards, and current technical regulations; organize extensive propaganda, training, and awareness-raising activities to ensure legal compliance among all departments and employees. Simultaneously, strengthen self-inspection and monitoring of the implementation of legal regulations within the unit and at construction sites.

The results of the implementation should be reported to the Ministry of Construction before June 15, 2025 (via the State Inspection Department for Construction Quality), No. 37 Le Dai Hanh Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.

The Ministry of Construction assigns the State Inspection Department for Construction Quality to monitor, urge, and provide additional guidance if any issues arise during the implementation process; and to compile the results and report them to the Ministry of Construction before July 10, 2025.
