On March 14th, the Faculty of Natural Sciences , Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued the plan for the 2025 enrollment of 10th grade students for the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences.

Accordingly, students must achieve a GPA of "Good" or higher for all grades in junior high school (this condition will be checked when the admitted student enrolls).

The school's enrollment target this year is 525, the same as last year. Details are as follows:

Each candidate may register to take the entrance exam for a maximum of 2 out of 5 specialized subjects: Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates should note that they cannot register for two specialized subjects with the same exam time.

All candidates must take three common subjects: Literature , subject Math (Round 1) and subject English, last year it was Math and Literature.

Candidates will take the specialized subject exam corresponding to their registered specialization, including: Math (Round 2) For candidates applying to specialized Mathematics and Computer Science programs; subject Information technology For candidates taking the entrance exam for the Computer Science specialization; subject Natural Sciences - Physics Knowledge and Skills For candidates taking the entrance exam for the specialized Physics program; subject Natural Sciences - Knowledge and Skills Chemistry for candidates taking the Chemistry specialization exam and the subject Natural Sciences - Knowledge and Skills Biology For candidates applying to the Biology specialization.

Candidates taking the entrance exam Computer Science Candidates can choose to take one of two specialized subjects: Mathematics (round 2) or Informatics. The quota for candidates taking the specialized Mathematics exam (round 2) is 70, and for those taking the specialized Informatics exam is 35.

Examination format: Multiple choice for English; Multiple choice combined with essay for Literature; Essay for Mathematics (Round 1), Mathematics (Round 2), Natural Sciences - Physics knowledge and skills, Natural Sciences - Chemistry knowledge and skills, Natural Sciences - Biology knowledge and skills; Computer programming for Informatics.

Exam duration: Literature and Mathematics (round 1) 120 minutes, English 60 minutes, and specialized subjects 150 minutes.

The exam content is based on the general education curriculum at the lower secondary level, ensuring the selection of students who are gifted in their specialized subject and have sufficient academic ability to study at a specialized school.

Regarding fees, the school has increased the exam fee this year compared to last year.

- Entrance exam fee for 1 subject: 600,000 VND/application (last year it was 450,000 VND/application)

- For applications to two specialized subjects: 800,000 VND per application (last year it was 600,000 VND per application)

Application forms for the exam must be completed and submitted online from April 21st to May 5th.

The exam results will be announced before June 24th. The expected enrollment date for successful candidates is July 10th, when they will submit their enrollment documents directly at the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences.
