Many power projects have proven effective, enhancing customer reliability.
From the beginning of the year, the provincial power sector directed its units to seriously and fully plan and organize the provision of stable and continuous electricity; and to coordinate well in the implementation of investment projects and upgrading of the power grid system in the area.
From the beginning of 2025 to the present, the electricity sector has completed the energization and commissioning of 9 110kV projects with a total investment of over 537 billion VND; and invested in the construction and major repair of nearly 100 projects with a capital of 1,190 billion VND.
From the beginning of 2025 to the present, the power sector has completed the energization and commissioning of 9 110kV projects with a total investment of over 537 billion VND. In addition, in 2025, the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) assigned the Tay Ninh Power Company a plan for investment in construction and major repairs with a total capital of 1,190 billion VND, including 1,103 billion VND for construction and 87 billion VND for major repairs, to implement nearly 100 projects in the area.
The Thu Thua 110kV Substation project (installing a 63MVA T2 transformer) was energized and put into operation in April 2025, increasing the total substation capacity from 1x63MVA to 2x63MVA. The project has a total investment of 36 billion VND and is equipped with a synchronized, modern equipment system according to international IEC and IEEE standards, ensuring technical requirements, safe and stable operation. The implemented items include the installation of an additional 63MVA power transformer, construction and full equipment installation for the 110kV transformer bay, the 110kV sectional bay, and the installation of new 22kV switchgear cabinets including the main circuit breaker cabinet, the voltage metering transformer cabinet, the capacitor bank cabinet, and 5 outgoing circuit breaker cabinets. Synchronizing protection control systems, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, electricity measurement and metering, and upgrading self-consumption power systems and capacitor banks.
According to Dang Trung Tin, representative of the Hoa Binh Industrial Park Management Board, upgrading the capacity of the Thu Thua 110kV substation will better meet the electricity supply needs of surrounding industrial parks, including Hoa Binh Industrial Park, to serve the production of secondary businesses within the park; creating reliability and trust among customers regarding the stable operation of the power grid in the area.
"Sprint" to complete the project.
According to the plan, the Tam Vu 2 110kV Substation and connecting power lines will be completed in 2025. Although the initial phase of the project faced many difficulties and obstacles related to land clearance, weather, etc., thanks to the decisive involvement of relevant agencies and localities, the obstacles have now been largely overcome, and the units are focusing on a "final sprint" to complete the project on schedule.

The Tam Vu 2 110kV Substation and connecting power lines are expected to be completed and energized in 2025.
The project consists of two main components: a newly constructed substation with a capacity of 63 MVA and a power line nearly 9 km long with 33 poles; the total investment for the project is over 203 billion VND. Currently, the construction unit has completed the foundations for 22 pole locations, erected steel poles for 17 locations, and is preparing to carry out the wire pulling work on the sections where poles have been erected.
A representative from the construction unit for the Tam Vu 2 110kV Substation and the Vuong Dien connecting power line stated: “Currently, the entire site has been handed over for implementation. We are focusing our workforce, working overtime, and even on Saturdays and Sundays to compensate for the delays caused by unforeseen issues. Approximately 110 people are involved in the project, including about 50 for the substation and 60 for the power line, ensuring energization in 2025 as committed.”
According to Nguyen Hoang Hai, Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Power Company: The completion and commissioning of these power projects are of great significance in electricity transmission and distribution, better meeting the electricity needs for daily life and production, creating momentum to promote sustainable socio -economic growth and development of the locality, and contributing to improving the quality of life for the people. It is expected that in the remaining months of 2025, the power sector will continue to energize and put into operation an additional 6 110kV projects with a total investment of approximately 777 billion VND. In 2026, the power sector will continue to invest in 17 110kV projects with a total investment of over 2,600 billion VND; and 66 medium and low voltage projects with an estimated capital allocation of approximately 1,000 billion VND.
