The project to complete coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong road) consists of two component projects, including: Component Project 1: Completion of coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong road); Component Project 2: Road connecting from Vo Chi Cong road to Dong Que Son Industrial Park, linking to National Highway 14H and National Highway 1.
The total investment for the project is over 2,056 billion VND (1,558 billion VND from the central budget; over 498.7 billion VND from the local budget). Of this, Component Project 1 accounts for 1,100 billion VND; Component Project 2 accounts for over 956.7 billion VND.

Component Project 1, part of the DT619 route (Vo Chi Cong road), starts from the intersection with National Highway 40B (in the former Tam Ky city area) to the intersection with the DT620 route (in the former Nui Thanh district area), connecting to the road leading to Chu Lai Airport. The total length of the route is approximately 26.5km.

The investment scale for Component Project 1 includes a secondary urban main street according to TCXDVN 104-2007, with a design speed of 70 km/h. Construction of the roadbed and surface on the remaining right side of the existing route will achieve a cross-section of 25m (with a central median, and a road surface width of 10.25m on each side) for the section from km0+000 to km9+000; and a cross-section width of 38m (central median, road surface width of 10.25m on each side, and sidewalks or shoulders of 7.5m on each side) for the remaining section.
Invest in constructing an additional unit to the right of the existing unit of the 6 bridges on the route, with a scale similar to the existing unit.
After joining the two sections, the bridge's cross-section is 25m wide; of which the carriageway on each side is 9m wide, the central median and safety strip are 2.5m wide, and the pedestrian walkways and railings on each side are 2.25m wide.

The project along the route includes investment in a horizontal and vertical drainage system on a scale similar to the existing section; a traffic management system; lighting; and landscaping.
To date, the Tam Tien bridge has had 40 out of 40 girders cast; 5 bridge deck spans completed; the cantilevered sections on pier T7 completed; and the cantilevered section K5 on pier T8 is currently under construction.
The Diem Tra Bridge has had its deck constructed and is currently undergoing finishing work. The Tam Hiep, An Tan 2, Tam Nghia, and Tam Quang bridges are basically complete.

Regarding the route, the contractor consortiums are currently constructing the roadbed and surface for 22.4/26.5km of sections where land has been handed over. Asphalt concrete paving has been completed for 11.4/20.7km (excluding the 5.8km section through Tam Hiep Industrial Park and An Hoa Bay, which was completed in phase 1 previously). 42/68 culverts of various types have been completed; and 21,970/38,437m of median strips have been installed.

Currently, contractors are accelerating the construction of road embankment and weak soil treatment in sections where land handover is scheduled for October 2024 and February 2025 (the loading and settlement waiting period is 565 days - approximately 19 months), as well as laying crushed stone base for asphalt concrete paving.

Component Project 1, completing coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong road), is a key project.
The completed project will expand the road's cross-section from 2 lanes to 6 lanes; the section passing through Tam Hiep Industrial Park to the road leading to Chu Lai Airport will have a cross-section width of up to 38m.
This section of the route will create a continuous, seamless connection from the coastal city center, across the Cua Dai bridge, all the way to the south of Da Nang city.
