Accelerating the completion of coastal road 129

DNO - At the key construction site of Component 1 of the 129 coastal road completion project (Vo Chi Cong street), the contractor is speeding up construction at the site where the site has been cleared. The appearance of the wide and open coastal road, connecting the inner city to the south of Da Nang city, is gradually becoming clear, opening up new development opportunities.

The project to complete coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong road) includes 2 component projects, including: Component project 1 to complete coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong road); Component project 2 connecting road from Vo Chi Cong road to Dong Que Son Industrial Park connecting with National Highway 14H and National Highway 1.

The total investment of the project is over VND 2,056 billion (central budget VND 1,558 billion; local budget over VND 498.7 billion). Of which, Component Project 1 accounts for VND 1,100 billion; Component Project 2 is over VND 956.7 billion.

Component project 1 belongs to DT619 route (Vo Chi Cong street), starting from the intersection with National Highway 40B (old Tam Ky city) to the intersection with DT620 route (old Nui Thanh district), connecting the road to Chu Lai Airport. The total length of the route is about 26.5km.

Investment scale: Component 1 project has secondary urban main street level according to TCXDVN 104-2007, design speed 70km/h. Construct the foundation and road surface of the remaining part on the right side of the existing route to achieve a cross-section of 25m (with median strip, road surface on each side is 10.25m wide) for the section km0+000 - km9+000; cross-section of 38m wide (median strip, road surface on each side is 10.25m wide, sidewalk or curb on each side is 7.5m wide) for the remaining section.

Invest in building 1 more unit to the right of the existing unit of 6 bridges on the route, with the same scale as the existing unit.

After joining the two units, the bridge cross-section is 25m wide; of which the traffic lane on each side is 9m wide, the median strip and safety strip are 2.5m wide, the pedestrian curb and railing edge on each side are 2.25m wide.

The works on the route include investment in horizontal and vertical drainage systems on a scale similar to the existing section; traffic organization system; lighting and trees.

Up to this point, Tam Tien bridge has cast 40/40 girders; completed 5 spans of the bridge deck; completed the cantilever blocks on pier T7 and is constructing the K5 cantilever block on pier T8.

Diem Tra Bridge has completed the bridge deck and is in the process of completion. Tam Hiep, An Tan 2, Tam Nghia, and Tam Quang bridges are basically completed.

Regarding the route, the joint venture contractors are implementing the construction of the roadbed and surface of 22.4/26.5km sections that have been handed over. Asphalt concrete has been laid for 11.4/20.7km (except for the 5.8km section through Tam Hiep Industrial Park, An Hoa Bay, which was completed in phase 1 before). 42/68 culverts of all kinds have been completed; 21,970/38,437m of median strips have been installed.

Currently, contractors are speeding up the construction of roadbed embankment and weak soil treatment for sections to be handed over in October 2024 and February 2025 (loading and settlement waiting time is 565 days - about 19 months) and crushed stone aggregate foundation for asphalt concrete.

Component project 1 to complete coastal road 129 (Vo Chi Cong road) is a key project.

The completed project will expand the cross-section from 2 lanes to 6 lanes; the section through Tam Hiep Industrial Park to the entrance to Chu Lai Airport will have a cross-section width of up to 38m.

The route will connect seamlessly from the inner city coast, across Cua Dai bridge to the south of Da Nang city.
