Cumulatively over the first five months, the total number of tourists to Quang Ninh reached approximately 10 million, an increase of nearly 20% compared to the same period in 2024, including nearly 2 million international visitors. The number of overnight stays is estimated at over 2.5 million, an increase of 24% compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue exceeded 23,100 billion VND, an increase of 30% compared to the same period.
Mr. Nguyen Lam Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "Currently, with the peak of the summer tourism season underway, Quang Ninh's tourism industry is striving to develop and launch many new tourism products to increase the attractiveness of the destination, especially beach and island tourism products and night-time economy. At the same time, we are ensuring the quality of services and the tourism business environment, aiming to welcome 5.3 million tourists in the second quarter."
