The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project is expected to open up new development opportunities for the entire Southern key economic region, with the section passing through Chon Thanh ward spanning over 7.7km. Construction packages are being accelerated, with simultaneous construction and land clearance, ensuring the project is completed on schedule as assigned by the Government.

Regarding land clearance, the project has approved 148 land plots, covering an area of ​​over 57.8 hectares, with compensation totaling over 311 billion VND. The land has been cleared and handed over to the construction unit.

For the Western section of the North-South Expressway construction project, specifically the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh segment, 62 land plots, covering an area of ​​over 17.1 hectares, have been approved, with compensation totaling over 90.3 billion VND.

The consensus and positive response of the people have created a synergistic strength, helping many projects to be implemented quickly, on schedule, and with high quality. At the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Project, Lieutenant Colonel Duong Minh Tien, Director of the Truong Son 16 Project Management Board under the Truong Son Construction Corporation, stated: “Currently, the unit has deployed hundreds of vehicles and equipment and concentrated manpower to ensure construction is carried out in ‘3 shifts, 4 teams,’ bringing the project to completion on schedule as committed. The current difficulty is that some land areas have not yet been cleared, causing difficulties in transporting materials.”

Besides key projects, Chơn Thành ward pays special attention to investing in upgrading and expanding the local transportation system. Many main roads, inter-neighborhood roads, and residential alleys have been asphalted or concreted, creating a clean and attractive environment. The synchronized connection between internal ward roads and inter-regional transportation routes also facilitates trade, attracts investment, and promotes production and business activities.

Expressing his delight at operating in Chơn Thành ward and undertaking infrastructure investment projects there, Mr. Phạm Thế Hùng, Director of Sông Mã Bridge and Road Construction Company, said: "Chơn Thành is very interested in infrastructure, especially in investing in upgrading and expanding transportation routes to connect National Highways 13 and 14 and key national projects passing through the locality. We are very happy to have chosen Chơn Thành ward to establish our business because of the many advantages in production and business."

Effectively mobilize investment resources.

Alongside transportation, Chơn Thành ward also prioritizes social infrastructure, investing in the construction and renovation of schools, health stations, community cultural centers, and public playgrounds. These projects not only meet the educational, healthcare, and cultural needs of the people but also contribute to improving the quality of life and building a united and civilized community.

To maximize the mobilization of resources, in addition to state budget funds, the ward has promoted social mobilization, encouraging residents and businesses to contribute funds, donate land, and contribute labor to build essential infrastructure projects. In 2025 alone, the locality spent over 144 billion VND on basic construction, exceeding the provincial budget allocation by over 209%. The completed projects have proven effective and are becoming vital arteries for the comprehensive development of the locality.

In particular, since the beginning of the year, in addition to industrial zones, 161 new businesses have been established in the ward, bringing the total number of operating businesses to 729. The ward's projected total budget revenue for 2025 is approximately 78 billion VND, reaching 420% of the provincial target.

Witnessing the significant changes in Chơn Thành ward recently, Mr. Dương Đức Hoàng, Head of Minh Thành 1 neighborhood, Chơn Thành ward, said: “The people are very happy with the improvement in infrastructure investment in the area. This is a very good sign and is expected to change the appearance of the infrastructure and the local economy. People are very confident about breakthroughs in the future.”

According to Nguyen Anh Tai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chon Thanh Ward: The Resolution of the First Congress of the Chon Thanh Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030, identifies the goal of building Chon Thanh Ward into a "dynamic - ecological - smart" ward. Chon Thanh will continue to upgrade and expand existing transportation routes; and simultaneously invest in synchronized supporting infrastructure to create urban aesthetics and improve the quality of life for its residents.

"The local authorities will coordinate with industrial park investors to develop plans and investment strategies for inter-regional and industrial park transportation routes to facilitate the transportation of goods for businesses and attract investment to promote socio-economic development," Mr. Nguyen Anh Tai further shared.
