Visiting the units under the Quang Tri General Trading Corporation (SEPON GROUP), the most noticeable thing is the bustling and vibrant work atmosphere. Workers are enthusiastically engaged in their production lines. This enthusiasm is a result of the dedicated efforts of the grassroots trade union. Beyond caring for workers' rights, the SEPON GROUP grassroots trade union also helps workers mature ideologically and intellectually, and guides them towards joining the Party.

Regarding efforts to recruit Party members within enterprises, Mr. Mai Chiem Hung, Chairman of the SEPON GROUP Trade Union, said that from 2020 to the present, the company's trade union has nurtured and recommended 19 outstanding union members to the Party. "After being admitted, these new Party members have all effectively played a pioneering role, becoming exemplary figures in labor and production," Mr. Hung shared.

Previously, when choosing a workplace environment, Dao Xuan Vien (born in 2000) thought he would have little chance of joining the Party. However, the reality at the company was completely different. Vien confided: "I received a lot of guidance and inspiration from senior Party members and grassroots trade union officials. I was very moved when I received the Party membership decision."

The story at SEPON GROUP is not uncommon in Quang Tri. Over the past period, grassroots trade unions in the province have implemented many effective and appropriate methods, motivating union members and workers to strive to join the Party. Trade union officials recognize that creating a pool of potential Party members is a way to strengthen the fighting capacity of the political system from the grassroots level.

According to information from the Provincial Labor Union, during the period 2018-2025, Quang Tri's labor unions at all levels introduced 15,870 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, resulting in 10,520 workers being admitted to the Party. In the first six months of 2026 alone, labor unions at all levels introduced 105 outstanding union members to the Party for training and admission. As a result, 27 outstanding union members have had the honor of joining the Party. The majority of these new Party members are working in enterprises.

To achieve these results, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Union has directed the promotion of patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers, in conjunction with the implementation of resolutions of the Party Congress and the Labor Union at all levels. The work of political and ideological propaganda and education for union members and workers has been given due attention.

Through movements such as "Excellent Workers, Creative Workers," "Good at National Affairs, Good at Family Affairs," and "Excellent Advisors, Good Service," union members and workers have a good environment to train and develop. From these movements, individuals with rich qualities and abilities are promptly identified and nurtured. Furthermore, grassroots trade unions regularly monitor the thoughts, aspirations, and progress of union members and workers to identify potential candidates for Party membership.

However, despite the achievements, the work of training, recruiting, and developing Party members by trade unions at all levels in the area, especially in the business sector, still faces some difficulties. The establishment and promotion of the role of grassroots trade unions in enterprises still face obstacles.

In some businesses, despite having a trade union, the lack of a Party organization hinders the training and recruitment of potential members. Some business owners are hesitant to establish a Party organization for various reasons. In these businesses, a portion of union members and employees have not been given adequate opportunities to participate in Party awareness training courses. In some exceptional cases, employees who are Party members and currently active in their local area are unwilling to participate in Party activities at the company because they would have to pay higher membership fees.
