In addition, the disaster risk reduction project also supports and encourages teachers to proactively participate in educational and communication activities, building safe and sustainable school communities in the face of natural disasters and climate change. This contributes to improving the knowledge and skills of teachers and students in responding to natural disasters, especially in responding to situations such as storms, floods, and tornadoes.

In recent years, Lao Cai has been severely affected by climate change and extreme weather events; frequently suffering from various natural disasters, especially typhoons, floods, and inundations, causing significant damage to the economy , infrastructure, and people's lives. Recognizing the serious impacts of natural disasters, the province has always prioritized and gradually improved disaster prevention and control efforts, contributing to protecting people's lives and property and minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
