This activity is part of the Liaison Committee's 2026 social welfare plan, continuing the tradition of solidarity from the 2021-2026 term.

Over the past five years, the total amount contributed by the Liaison Committee to activities focused on their hometown has exceeded 108.7 billion VND.

This gift-giving event was led by Major General Ho Viet Lam, Head of the Ca Mau Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City, along with members from affiliated clubs such as the Businessmen's Club, the Doctors' Club, the Teachers' Club, and the Literature and Arts Club.

A total of 550 gifts, worth 265 million VND, were distributed to poor households, disadvantaged families, and underprivileged students in 11 wards, communes, and schools throughout the province. The activities were implemented from the end of January to mid-February 2026 in Ly Van Lam Ward (50 gifts), Hiep Thanh Ward (40 gifts), Thanh Tung Commune (150 gifts), and many other localities such as Ho Thi Ky, Khanh An, Tan Tien, Vinh Phuoc, Ninh Quoi, Hong Dan, Long Dien communes, and Gia Rai High School.

To ensure that Tet gifts reach the intended recipients, local authorities have closely coordinated with the Liaison Committee in reviewing, selecting, and organizing the gift-giving process in a thoughtful and dignified manner.

This activity not only provides material support but also serves as a practical source of moral encouragement, contributing to helping the people of Ca Mau province celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 in a warmer and more fulfilling way; at the same time, it demonstrates the affection and responsibility of those who are far from home but always remember their roots.
