Danh said the cost of each decoration purchase is about 5 - 10 million VND, even though he reused old items from last year. "I only reuse some old items, but most of them have to be bought new to look more beautiful and eye-catching," Danh said. While choosing accessories with her younger sister to decorate for Tet, Truong Ngoc Tran (20 years old), living on Hung Long Street, Binh Chanh District (HCMC), said: "I buy decorations for Tet early to create the atmosphere. The items have very beautiful and colorful designs, just looking at them makes me feel Tet right away. My sister and I also only prioritize buying small, affordable items to decorate at home."

Tran shared that the reason for going shopping for Tet decorations early was because of nausea. “Recently, every day I pass this street on my way to work, I feel nauseous for Tet. The whole street stands out with extremely bright red, then the apricot and peach blossoms make me really nauseous for Tet. So today, I took advantage of my free time to go buy some decorations early,” Tran happily said.

Coming from Tay Ninh province to buy wholesale Tet decorations to resell, Ms. Tran Thi Anh Thu (33 years old) said that this year she was busy with work so she only had time to come here now, but every year she would have gone earlier. “The designs are diverse so the prices are also varied. Each store has a different price, so I had to ask around to choose the place with the... softest price. This year, the designs are much more beautiful and eye-catching. In general, every time I come here at the end of the year, I feel the Tet atmosphere,” Ms. Thu shared.
