New Year's in the Czech Republic is very materially abundant.

Moreover, every year there are art troupes from Vietnam coming to perform. Czech sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, as well as the second and third generations, are all very excited when Tet (Vietnamese New Year) comes around.

The Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, numbering around 100,000, lives in unity and solidarity, making many contributions to the local community and always looking towards their homeland. The community's contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic and the historic cyclone in South Moravia were highly appreciated by the Czech government and people.

In recent years, the Association has regularly organized festivals, from the capital Prague to other localities, to bring Czech people closer to Vietnamese culture and cuisine . The Association has many practical activities focused on the homeland, the border regions, the sea, and the islands. With modest donations, the Association shares resources with soldiers on the front lines, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, victims of Agent Orange, children with congenital heart disease, and those in particularly difficult circumstances, enabling them to live in the charitable houses that the Association builds and donates.

Every year, we support our compatriots in Vietnam affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods. During the pandemic, in addition to donating money and medical equipment and supplies, the Association also contributed to Vietnam's vaccine diplomacy efforts. In the relations between the two countries, the Association has always been a bridge, contributing to the success of many bilateral cooperation activities.

Our wish is that the competent Vietnamese authorities will create favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to actively invest in Vietnam, promote bilateral trade, and contribute to enriching their homeland. Regarding future work with overseas Vietnamese, I believe more attention should be paid to the second and third generations. If this is achieved, young Vietnamese in the Czech Republic will feel more connected to their homeland and make more positive contributions to the country.
