A minimalist Tet celebration, okay?

During this period of economic hardship and belt-tightening, a minimalist approach to celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year) has been embraced by many.

Beyond home decor and fashion , the minimalist trend also influences positive thinking, fostering a mindset of freeing oneself from unnecessary things and not focusing on outward appearances.

Adopting a minimalist approach to Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations conveys a positive message and spreads it to daily life, instilling a sense of frugality through practical actions, especially when dealing with those less fortunate.

Traditionally, during Tet (Vietnamese New Year), every household prepares a lavish feast. Women work tirelessly in the kitchen, with no time to take care of themselves due to their busy schedules. Every housewife takes the opportunity to show off all the dishes she prepares for her family. Making so many dishes! It would be a waste to throw away leftover food!

Shopping during Tet (Lunar New Year) is similar; sometimes people don't have enough money and have to borrow to get the clothes, shoes, etc., they want to be like everyone else. And sometimes they buy things they won't even use.

Instead of excessive shopping, exhausting cooking, then wasting food and money, everything should be simplified to limit family expenses without diminishing the joyful atmosphere of Tet.

First, minimize the need to buy food in advance for Tet (Lunar New Year) because convenience stores and traditional markets operate almost continuously. Except for offerings to ancestors that need to be prepared, daily meals can be ordered by phone and delivered right to your door.

Reducing food storage is also a way to save electricity. Gas stoves will save time by not having to reheat food stored overnight. Clothing, shoes, and accessories should be used as long as they are still usable. Only buy new items when absolutely necessary.

Many families repurpose seemingly discarded items to create decorative or household goods. These eco-friendly, reusable gifts are popular, reflecting a green lifestyle.

A minimalist Tet celebration is reflected in how you decorate your home, shop efficiently and economically, and, more importantly, in how you use your money wisely. While preparing for Tet, you can still share positive and optimistic energy with each other.

A minimalist Lunar New Year celebration can still be full of spirit. Saving money while sharing when possible is key. Celebrating a joyful Lunar New Year with a focus on frugality is a goal many strive for. Shopping less and cooking less doesn't mean less happiness.

During Tet, a time for rest and relaxation makes us realize how precious peaceful rest is, strengthening family bonds in joyful reunions. It fosters an optimistic spirit to overcome life's challenges.

TTO - The preparations and shopping spree for Tet (Lunar New Year) cause headaches for many women. For some young women, preparing for Tet doesn't require too many purchases; it's no longer a burden. On the contrary, they feel excited for a long holiday.
