Visiting and giving gifts to express gratitude to former prisoners of Con Dao.

(Dong Nai) – From April 11th to 16th, the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Imprisoned by the Enemy in Dong Nai Province organized delegations to visit and present gifts of gratitude from the Provincial People's Committee to former prisoners of Con Dao and families of former prisoners who sacrificed their lives in Con Dao in the province, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Con Dao (May 1st, 1975 – May 1st, 2025).

Accordingly, the delegations visited and presented gifts to 65 former prisoners (worth 2 million VND each); and 10 families of former prisoners who died in Con Dao (worth 3 million VND each) in the districts and cities.

At the families' homes, representatives of the Provincial Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Imprisoned by the Enemy kindly inquired about the health and lives of the former prisoners and their families who sacrificed their lives on Con Dao Island. They also wished the former Con Dao prisoners a happy and healthy life, and encouraged them to continue being shining examples for younger generations to follow, making practical contributions to the development of the locality.
