In the last days of July, the weather becomes quiet. The scorching, blazing sun is gone. Many people head to historical sites to express their remembrance and gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence and freedom, for the peace and happiness of the people. Lighting incense at the memorials, each person silently prays for the souls of the heroic martyrs to find peace, to become immortal, and to witness the strong resurgence of their homeland – a country they preserved with their blood and bones for future generations.
Author Nguyen Van Hai, with his photo series "July - Lighting the Flame of Gratitude," captures images of July, like a heartfelt promise, as the whole nation turns its attention to the war-torn land of Quang Tri . They return to the towering, solemn monuments amidst the vast Trường Sơn mountain range. Where death has become immortal, the images of heroes live on in the hearts of the people, allowing future generations to live in freedom and peace. The Trường Sơn National Cemetery, the Đường 9 Martyrs' Cemetery... are once again bustling with expressions of gratitude these days. The photo series was submitted by the author to the Happy Vietnam Photo and Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .
Today's generations always cherish and are grateful for the contributions and sacrifices of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution.
The act of showing gratitude and remembering one's roots has become a regular, continuous, and meaningful activity for the younger generations. This is both an expression of affection and a responsibility for each citizen to join hands with the community and society as a whole in carrying out the work of showing gratitude and appreciation, so that the spiritual and material lives of policy beneficiary families, wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and those who have made contributions to the nation are warmer and more comfortable.

During each of these meaningful "spiritual enrichment" trips, the younger generations of Vietnam respectfully bow before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, vowing to forever remember their immense contributions and determined to fulfill their duties in ensuring security and order, contributing to the socio- economic development of the country.
The war is long over, but the heroic martyrs live on forever in the history of our nation. Generations of people are always grateful, cherish, and deeply remember the contributions and sacrifices of their ancestors, vowing to continue writing the glorious and heroic history of the nation, worthy of the trust and love of the Party and the people. The longing and affection still remain.
