In 2024, Da Nang city focused on accelerating the progress of preparing, appraising, approving, and publishing zoning plans; to date, 9 out of 9 urban sub-zones have been approved, specifically: Hillside Urban Area; High-Tech Zone; Hoa Vang District Town Urban Area; Green Core Center; Airport Zone; Da Nang Bay Coast Zone; Lien Chieu Seaport Zone; Han River Coast and East Bank Zone; and Innovation Zone.
To date, 6 out of 10 functional zone construction areas have been completed, of which 2 have been approved, including: Hoa Xuan Sports Complex; and the Hoa Hiep Bac Ward Tourist Area in the Western Ecological Zone.
The goal is to approve four zoning plans for the Western Ecological Zone (Ba Na Mountain peak and foothills tourist area, Khe Ram area tourist area, Dong Nghe Lake area tourist area, and tourist area along National Highway 14G) by the end of 2024.
The Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee regularly conducts on-site inspections and directs the resolution of difficulties and obstacles, accelerating the progress of key and strategic projects, especially the Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan expressway construction project, the renovation and upgrading of National Highway 14B (Tuy Loan-Ha Nha section); directs research and proposes investment plans and roadmaps for tunnels under the Han River, tunnels under Da Nang Airport, and the railway station relocation project; strengthens urban order management, maintenance and repair of technical infrastructure, dredging and clearing of the drainage system, and implements solutions to overcome and address flooding during the rainy season; and directs the acceleration of the implementation of solid waste treatment plant projects in the Khanh Son area.
In 2024, Da Nang city's economy continued its growth momentum, showing many positive signs. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2024 is estimated to increase by 7.51% compared to the same period, ranking second among the five centrally-governed cities and 29th nationwide ; budget revenue exceeded the projected target by 25%.

Regarding investment promotion and attraction, the city proactively and flexibly approaches and works with potential investors and diplomatic agencies to invite and attract investment in priority development areas, especially high technology, information technology, semiconductor chips, and artificial intelligence.
The city issued new business registration certificates to 3,372 businesses, branches, and representative offices; the number of businesses resuming operations increased by 1.2% compared to the same period last year.

In 2025, Da Nang will continue to strengthen investment promotion activities with a focus on key areas, concentrating on the city's priority sectors.
Effectively leverage the cooperation agreements signed with localities, focusing on specific programs in the fields of investment promotion, trade, tourism, education, health, environment, science and technology, etc.
Focus on reviewing and proposing effective implementation of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025, and developing the medium-term public investment plan and a list of key projects for the period 2026-2030.
Accelerate compensation and land clearance efforts, and hand over land for the implementation of key and strategic projects, especially in Hoa Vang district.
