At the "Journey to Happiness" program in Bac Giang, with prominent activities such as: traditional Quan Ho folk singing exchange, promotion of local OCOP products and businesses, and signing of cooperation agreements for the consumption of Luc Ngan lychees, Saigon Co.op identified this as its biggest activity in 2025 to connect with and together with customers to set a record for an online map of Vietnam using 50,000 happy photos taken with the national flag.
To support lychee farmers while bringing high-quality, affordable lychees to consumers nationwide, Saigon Co.op plans to distribute lychees to over 800 retail outlets across the country, with a 20% increase in volume compared to the same period last year. Beyond fresh lychees, Saigon Co.op will also sell lychee-based products that can be preserved and used for extended periods.

Saigon Co.op Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Thang said: “With a nationwide network and millions of trusted customers, Saigon Co.op is not only a purely Vietnamese retail brand but also a symbol of national pride, unity, and creativity to serve the community. To best support the consumption of lychees, Saigon Co.op also organizes promotional programs and introduces lychees throughout its distribution system; and cooperates with several media agencies to implement programs to stimulate demand for Vietnamese agricultural products…”
Attending the event, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Cooperative Union Nguyen Duc Hien shared: “Ho Chi Minh City and Saigon Co.op in particular are important bridges bringing high-quality OCOP products and agricultural produce closer to consumers. In Bac Giang, regularly from 2018 to the present, Ho Chi Minh City and, primarily, Saigon Co.op have consumed thousands of tons of lychees from direct growing areas in Luc Ngan district, making a significant contribution to creating momentum for local economic development and providing jobs for hundreds of local workers.”

On this occasion, Saigon Co.op and Toan Thang Bac Giang Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative signed a contract for the consumption of Luc Ngan lychees.
Within the framework of the program at Co.opmart Bac Giang, hundreds of customers participated in cultural and artistic activities and interacted with Quan Ho folk singers, contributing to fulfilling the commitment of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces in particular, and of Vietnam in general, to UNESCO in preserving and effectively promoting the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Quan Ho folk singing of Bac Ninh.
