On the morning of June 26th, Saigon Zoo (SZ) issued a warning about the appearance of recruitment information on various social media groups, specifically regarding people posing as SZ visitors. The zoo affirmed that it "has no need for recruitment in this manner."
According to the posts, the organization was recruiting 20 people to "pretend to be visitors" at the Saigon Zoo. Participants were required to fill out a registration form, provide their citizen ID number, a photo of their citizen ID, and bank account information. The promised payment was 140,000 VND, which included 60,000 VND for the entrance fee.
Saigon Zoo affirms that it does not hire or authorize any company or organization to recruit people to pose as visitors. The zoo advises people to be cautious and thoroughly research information before applying to avoid any unfortunate incidents.

The Saigon Zoo also requests that event organizing companies, if they need to recruit staff for their programs, not use the name "TCVSG" in their recruitment content.
"Using the name Saigon Zoo in recruitment announcements easily misleads job seekers into thinking this is an activity organized by the zoo. Furthermore, the phrase 'recruiting people pretending to be guests of Saigon Zoo' is insulting to us," the announcement stated.
Established in 1864, Saigon Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world and a long-standing cultural and historical landmark in Ho Chi Minh City. Spanning approximately 20 hectares, it currently houses 138 animal species and hundreds of plant species. According to audited financial reports, the zoo is projected to achieve revenue of nearly VND 148.6 billion in 2025, an increase from approximately VND 128 billion the previous year.
