Over the past 25 years, the Ton Duc Thang Award has honored 268 outstanding engineers and workers in Ho Chi Minh City. Many individuals, after being honored, have continued to develop and become core forces in emulation movements at the grassroots level. They not only create for themselves but also share their experience, mentor younger generations of workers, and form improvement teams and groups within businesses and agencies.

This confirms that the Ton Duc Thang Award has accompanied, created a "launching pad," and inspired the spirit of dedication among workers and engineers in factories, workshops, and construction sites. After being honored, many workers have received significantly more attention from businesses, agencies, and units; they have been given opportunities to continue researching and perfecting their initiatives, and have been assigned to positions that match their professional abilities to better contribute.

In 2025, the award entered a new phase as Ho Chi Minh City expanded its scope and eligible participants. This included newly expanded fields such as economic development, public administration, healthcare, education, and science and technology. This expansion of the scope and eligibility criteria has created a very positive image for the Ton Duc Thang Award, reflecting its inclusiveness and relevance to the city's development in this new phase.

Notably, this year's award features 13 applications from female workers and engineers, the highest number ever. Besides female engineers in manufacturing, research, and information technology with innovative initiatives that both generate profit and contribute to sustainable value and workplace safety, for the first time, three female preschool teachers have submitted applications. These initiatives demonstrate the dedication and creativity of educators in nurturing young minds.

These signals indicate that the award is increasingly gaining widespread recognition, inspiring creativity among all workers, regardless of field or gender. This once again affirms that the Ton Duc Thang Award is not only a recognition of outstanding individuals, but also a highlight of the creative labor emulation movement, contributing to building a high-quality workforce for Ho Chi Minh City in the new development phase.
