Since early morning, Mrs. TTKL has traveled more than 100 km from Lam Dong to bring her granddaughter TAP (5 years old) to visit her daughter, a prisoner of NMKH. At the moment of reunion, she hugged her daughter, speechless. The tight hug, tearful eyes expressed the mother's tolerance and unconditional love for her 23-year-old daughter who made a mistake.
Meanwhile, her son TAP prepared a gift for his mother, made by himself, with the guidance of his teacher, along with the words “Happy October 20th. I love you so much, Mom”. Receiving that priceless spiritual gift, H. choked up, hugged her son tightly, and smiled happily and lovingly.
As soon as he met his two sons BTH and BGP, prisoner BDT (Buon Ma Thuot ward) ran over, lovingly hugged them, and listened to their chattering. BDT said he was here for organizing gambling and was about to finish his sentence. During his time in prison, he was allowed to be visited by his family and two children according to regulations. However, at this prisoner family conference, he had more time to talk with his wife and children, in a closer, more intimate atmosphere. That was a spiritual support for him to feel secure in his rehabilitation and soon return to rebuild his life.

As for Mr. NTH (Ea H'leo commune), early in the morning he brought his mother and son to visit his wife, TTQN. This was also the first time Mr. H. attended the Prisoner Family Conference. During the warm and loving meal, he did not forget to remind his wife to study and work well to quickly return to her family.
Colonel Tran Van Dung, Warden of Dak Trung Prison, said that in order to promote the role of family members in motivating and encouraging prisoners to actively study and work, the prison organizes regular prisoner family conferences. "The affection, care and encouragement from the family is a strong spiritual medicine that helps prisoners realize their mistakes, gain more motivation to strive, and gradually reintegrate into the community," Colonel Tran Van Dung affirmed.
Within the framework of the conference, prison officers reported on the results of re -education work and the implementation of policies and regimes for prisoners, and discussed with families about the situation of re-education and training of prisoners. At the same time, relatives grasped the thoughts of prisoners to coordinate and improve the effectiveness of education work. "Attending the conference and learning about the living and working conditions of the prison, I feel secure and confident that the educational environment here will soon help my husband realize his mistakes and return to his family," said Ms. NTKh. (Buon Ma Thuot ward), whose husband is being re-educated at the prison.
An NTP prisoner shared: “By attending prisoner family conferences, I have come to appreciate and fully understand the sacred meaning of the word family. This is a connecting bridge, helping us to put aside negative and distorted thoughts, to feel secure in working, studying, cultivating and training so that when reintegrated into the community, we will be useful citizens to society.”
It can be said that the Prisoner Family Conference is not just a simple meeting, but a humane flame lit, illuminating the path for those who have made mistakes, so that they believe that after months of good reform, there is always a warm home waiting, open arms, and a chance to start over.
