Change and adapt quickly.

A week after returning to their "common home" in Thai Nguyen, the team of officials and civil servants from the former Bac Kan province have gradually settled into their lives, adapted to the changes, and gotten used to their work.

In the early days of her new job, Nghiêm Thu Trang, an official at the Provincial Information Center, arrived in Thái Nguyên during a period of heavy rain and widespread flooding in the central wards. The new workplace, new residence, unfamiliar roads, and the distance from her young child left Ms. Trang feeling overwhelmed and anxious. However, with the encouragement of her colleagues, especially her superiors, she gradually overcame the difficulties and adapted to her new role.

While her husband and children still live in Duc Xuan ward, Ms. Luc Thi Thuy (Party Finance Department, Provincial Party Committee Office) is looking for a room to rent near her workplace. Her busy work schedule following the administrative unit merger leaves her with little time to take care of herself.

Ms. Thuy said: "For almost a week now, I've been eating out, so I'm really craving a home-cooked meal. The workload is heavy, I'm not familiar with the routes, and the rainy weather has created certain difficulties in my new life. The affection and support from my colleagues at my new workplace are what motivate me to overcome these challenges."

Previously, every day after work, Mr. Gia Tran Nghiep, a civil servant in the Ethnic Affairs Department of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion, would enjoy a delicious meal cooked by his wife. Since moving to the new headquarters after the provincial merger (Quyet Thang ward) at the beginning of July, he has had to manage all his daily activities on his own.

There were days when he didn't get home until after noon, and Mr. Nghiep would quickly stop by the market to buy some ingredients to cook a meal. Back home, his wife was just as busy, working and taking care of the children all by herself. Every evening when he called home, Mr. Nghiep would encourage his wife, telling her that all the difficulties were just temporary, and better things were ahead.

The team of officials and civil servants assigned to work in Thai Nguyen are gradually adapting to the general work.

Although not yet assigned specific tasks, for Ms. Ly Thi Muoi and her colleagues in the Tourism Management Department of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the common good remains paramount. To prepare for the Vietnam Tourism Day (July 9th) seminar, even though she had only just arrived at the department, Ms. Muoi was already busy with this key task.

"Wherever we work, we have to work, and we need to work with the highest level of dedication and responsibility. Change and adaptation, in my opinion, is the way for officials and civil servants to adapt to new jobs and keep pace with the work," shared Ms. Ly Thi Muoi.

Instead of going home to visit his family during the two-day weekend, Mr. Gia Tran Nghiep, a civil servant in the Ethnic Affairs Department of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion, joined a provincial working group to inspect and supervise the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in several localities. This is also a new area of work for him compared to when he still worked in Bac Kan (formerly).

Due to the large workload and many unfamiliar tasks, Mr. Nghiep needed help and guidance from his unit's leaders and colleagues. The progress of his work brought him joy and confidence.

In this revolution to streamline the administrative apparatus and reorganize the country, the staff and civil servants of the Ministry of Interior play a crucial role in both advisory and implementation work.

For about three months now, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung, Deputy Head of the Personnel and Youth Affairs Department, hasn't had a day off, often working until midnight before leaving the office. On the day Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen officially merged, Ms. Chung rushed to the new administrative center, immediately starting work with urgency and responsibility, even before tidying her office. Ms. Chung affirmed: "No matter where you are or what you do, if you are always dedicated to your work, you will overcome any difficulties."

Along with the rest of the country, Thai Nguyen is entering an era of progress, reorganizing its administrative apparatus with confidence and optimism for the future. Despite certain difficulties and hardships in life and work, the staff and civil servants of the former Bac Kan province are striving to change and adapt to contribute to the development of their homeland.
