Seven winless matches was The Cong's worst streak in V-League history. They were predicted to face significant difficulties when they met Hanoi Police - a team that was unbeaten in five consecutive matches and playing well under new coach Kiatisuk Senamuang. But The Cong's changes on the Hang Day stadium on March 9th created a positive turnaround.

Brazilian newcomer Pedro Henrique brought new life to The Cong's attack, while striker Nham Manh Dung unexpectedly shone. Conversely, CAHN faced difficulties early on when Bui Hoang Viet Anh suffered a torn lip after a collision with Pedro Henrique in the seventh minute. The central defender still returned to the field, but struggled to maintain his composure due to the pain and had to go to the hospital for treatment.

The Cong controlled the game well and capitalized on a counter-attack opportunity in the 32nd minute, when CAHN player Vu Van Thanh lost the ball after a poorly executed corner kick. Truong Tien Anh passed to Pedro, who sprinted from midfield into the 5.5-meter box before making a perfect cross for Nham Manh Dung to tap into the empty net.

The goal boosted Nham Manh Dung's morale, and he continued his explosive performance in the 45th minute. Receiving the ball on the left wing, the 2000-born striker skillfully dribbled past two CAHN defenders, then returned the favor with a perfect cross for Pedro Henrique to double the lead.

In the second half, CAHN tried to create more pressure, but opportunities slipped away from their strikers.
