More organizations have been licensed to administer the ÖSD German language certificate exams.

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry has just announced the decision to approve the joint organization of the ÖSD German language certificate exam between the Institute for Vocational Education Research (IVES) and the ÖSD German Language Assessment Association of the Republic of Austria.

According to the decision, the parties are responsible for complying with Vietnamese law, commitments, and plans to ensure the conditions for joint organization of foreign language proficiency certificate examinations as stipulated in Government Decree No. 86/2018/ND-CP on foreign cooperation and investment in the field of education and Circular No. 11/2022/TT-BGDĐT of the Minister of Education and Training on joint organization of foreign language proficiency certificate examinations as presented in the Project on joint organization of ÖSD German language certificate examinations dated November 4, 2024.

The German language proficiency certificate issued by ÖSD is recognized worldwide .

Specifically, the target candidates are those who wish to take the ÖSD German language proficiency test. The exam questions, registration process, exam organization process; facilities and equipment for organizing the exam; security, safety, and confidentiality before, during, and after the exam; and the staff, technicians, and personnel of all parties involved in organizing the exam shall comply with the regulations of the ÖSD German Language Proficiency Assessment Association of the Republic of Austria and Vietnamese law.

The exam will be held at the Institute for Vocational Education Research. The certificate awarded is ÖSD Zertifikat, with levels A1, A2, B1, and B2.

Thus, following Hanoi University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the Institute for Vocational Education Research is the next unit licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training to organize the ÖSD exam in Vietnam.

The German language proficiency certificate issued by ÖSD is a globally recognized certificate, with levels for children, teenagers, and adults based on the European Framework of Reference.

ÖSD is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, and exams are held at over 400 licensed ÖSD testing centers worldwide. Approximately 100,000 candidates take the exam annually. The ÖSD certificate can be used for various purposes (applying for residence permits, Austrian citizenship, vocational training, university studies, employment in Germany, Austria, etc.).

The ÖSD certificate is recognized by the German Embassy in Vietnam as equivalent to German language certificates issued by organizations such as: Goethe Institute language certificate; Telc GmbH language certificate; TestDaF certificate from the TestDaF Institute; ECL language certificate.
