Guided by Ho Chi Minh's ideology, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong (born in 1988) – lecturer in the Department of Party and Political Work (Army Academy) – always upholds a spirit of responsibility, openness to learning, and dedication in all his duties. On the lecture platform, he not only imparts knowledge but also ignites revolutionary ideals, fostering political acumen, ethics, and military conduct in his students.

Graduating with honors from the Political Officer Training School in 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong was assigned to work at the Postgraduate Training System of the Army Academy. From 2016 to the present, he has had the opportunity to continue his studies, training, and contributions at two leading military training centers: the Army Academy and the Political Academy. For him, these are not only exemplary educational environments but also places that cultivate revolutionary ideals, political acumen, and a spirit of serving the Fatherland with knowledge, responsibility, and the ethics of a soldier.

Deeply imbued with Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, he always keeps in mind: "The more difficult the task, the more effort, training, and dedication we must put in." His serious and scientific work style, along with the motto "finish the job, not just the hours," has helped him gradually accumulate experience, hone his character, and build a solid foundation of professional ethics.

In 2024, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in Party Building and State Administration at the Political Academy, completing it 11 months ahead of schedule and achieving an excellent grade. Afterward, he was reassigned to the Army Academy, continuing his contributions as a lecturer in the Department of Party and Political Work. In his new role, he always maintains a humble and open-minded spirit, constantly learning from his colleagues, especially from senior lecturers, to accumulate knowledge, refine his teaching methods and skills, and develop a scientific work style.

In his teaching, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong consistently adheres to the principle of unifying theory and practice, upholding Party principles, scientific rigor, and promoting critical thinking in his instruction. He is always concerned with harmoniously combining traditional and modern methods, fostering the active participation and creativity of students, and developing their ability to apply theory to practical situations. He believes: "A teacher not only imparts knowledge but also guides, igniting passion and revolutionary ideals in the younger generation of the army."

Not only is Lieutenant Colonel Cuong a dedicated lecturer, but he is also a passionate researcher, constantly seeking innovation to improve the quality of teaching and contribute to the development of Party and political work theory in the military. From 2016 to the present, he has been the project leader and research member of 11 scientific projects, all of which have been evaluated and approved by relevant authorities as high-quality. Notably, he has won many top prizes at the Youth Innovation Award in the military.

During the complex COVID-19 pandemic, he and his colleagues in the unit successfully researched and manufactured a "UV sterilization device," making a positive contribution to disease prevention and control. Based on practical experience, he and his research team also developed a technical improvement initiative: a "Punching table for shoulder epaulets and collar insignia," which saves time and effort, improves accuracy, safety, and aesthetics in the annual installation of military ranks and insignia.

On the ideological and theoretical front, he and his team of authors researched and developed the software initiative "Commanding the Struggle to Protect the Ideological Foundation in Cyberspace," which won a high award. He is also the co-editor of two monographs published in 2020 and 2022; the author of 18 scientific articles published in journals and 10 papers presented at conferences inside and outside the Academy.

With a proactive spirit and unwavering effort, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong has achieved many outstanding accomplishments since 2016. He has been recognized as an outstanding soldier of the entire army and at the grassroots level; awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of National Defense , the Head of the General Political Department, the Army Academy, and the Political Academy. Notably, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong has been a Party member who has performed his duties well or better for 10 consecutive years, including 6 years recognized for outstanding performance. “These achievements are not only the result of my personal efforts but also the care, guidance, education, training, and nurturing with love and responsibility from leaders, commanders, and superiors at all levels; the love and support of the staff, scientists, and comrades that have helped me grow,” he shared.

Refusing to rest on his laurels, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong always clearly defines his guiding principle as continuing to learn from and follow President Ho Chi Minh's example, constantly cultivating and honing his character, courage, and abilities; striving to overcome difficulties and challenges, and aiming for higher goals in teaching, research, and Party building within the military.
