Graduated with honors from the Political Officer School in 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong was assigned to work at the Postgraduate Training System, Army Academy. From 2016 to present, he has had the opportunity to continue studying, training and contributing at two leading training centers of the army, the Army Academy and the Political Academy. For him, these are not only exemplary pedagogical environments but also places to foster revolutionary ideals, political mettle and the spirit of serving the Fatherland with knowledge, responsibility and morality of a soldier.
Deeply imbued with Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style, he always kept in mind: "The more difficult the task, the more effort, training and dedication must be made". A serious and scientific working style, along with the motto "the work is over, not the time is over" has helped him gradually accumulate experience, hone his mettle and build a solid foundation of professional ethics.
In 2024, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Party Building and State Administration at the Academy of Politics, completing it 11 months ahead of schedule and achieving excellent results. After that, he was transferred back to the Army Academy, continuing to contribute as a lecturer in the Department of Party Work and Political Work. In his new position, he always maintains a humble and receptive spirit, constantly learning from his comrades and teammates, especially from previous lecturers, to accumulate knowledge, practice teaching methods, skills and a scientific working style.
In teaching, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong always adheres to the principle of unity between theory and practice, upholds the Party's spirit, scientific nature and promotes scientific criticism in teaching. The harmonious combination of traditional and modern methods, promoting the positivity and creativity of students; training the ability to apply theory to handle practical situations is always what he is concerned about and seeks. He believes: "A teacher not only imparts knowledge but also guides, inspires passion and revolutionary ideals for the young generation in the army".
Not only a dedicated lecturer, Lieutenant Colonel Cuong is also a passionate scientific researcher, always seeking and innovating to improve the quality of teaching and contribute to the development of Party and political work theories in the army. From 2016 to present, he has been the head and research member of 11 scientific projects, all of which have been evaluated and accepted by all levels as having good quality. In particular, he has won many high prizes at the Creative Youth Award in the Army.
During the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic, he and his teammates in the unit successfully researched and manufactured a "UV sterilization device", contributing positively to the prevention and control of the epidemic. Also from practical work, he and his research team came up with the technical innovation "Punching table for military rank and collar badges", helping to save time and effort, improve accuracy, safety and aesthetics in the annual installation of military ranks and badges.
On the ideological and theoretical front, he and his group of authors researched the software initiative “Commanding the struggle to protect ideological foundations in cyberspace”, which won a high prize. He is also the co-editor of two monographs published in 2020 and 2022; the author of 18 scientific articles published in journals and 10 conference papers inside and outside the Academy.
With a spirit of learning and constant efforts, from 2016 to present, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong has achieved many outstanding achievements. He has been recognized as an Emulation Fighter of the whole army, Emulation Fighter of the base; was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Minister of National Defense , Director of the General Department of Politics, the Army Academy and the Academy of Politics. Notably, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong has been a Party member for 10 consecutive years who has completed his tasks well or better, of which 6 years have been recognized as having completed his tasks excellently. "The above achievements are not only the efforts of the individual but also the care, guidance, education and training, nurturing with love and responsibility of leaders, commanders, and heads at all levels; the love and help of the staff, scientists, comrades, and teammates for me to grow up", he shared.
Not allowing himself to stop at the successes he has achieved, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Manh Cuong always clearly identifies his motto of action as continuing to learn and follow Uncle Ho's example, constantly cultivating and training his qualities, mettle, and capacity; striving to overcome difficulties and challenges, aiming for higher goals in teaching, research, and Party building in the army.
