- The patriotic emulation movement in the province over the past period has become an important driving force for promoting socio -economic development, creating clear changes in various fields.
On June 11, 1948, amidst the difficult phase of the resistance war against French colonialism, President Ho Chi Minh issued a call for patriotic emulation. Nearly 80 years later, the idea of "Emulation is patriotism, and patriotism requires emulation" remains relevant, becoming a powerful spiritual driving force, inspiring patriotism, self-reliance, self-strength, and national unity.

Building on that spirit, over the years, the province has implemented a comprehensive range of emulation movements across all sectors, linked to political tasks and development requirements of each stage. In addition to regular emulation movements, the province has also launched specialized emulation movements focusing on addressing key and urgent issues, such as the emulation movement to build roads for border marker inspection; and the 100-day intensive emulation campaign to promote the implementation of administrative procedures electronically and the digitization of records and results of administrative procedure resolution... Through these efforts, many important results have been achieved, contributing to the province's development.
In the economic sector, especially border trade, emulation movements linked to administrative reform and digital transformation have yielded many positive results. The Digital Border Gate platform operates stably, with 100% of businesses completing online declarations before vehicles arrive at the border, helping to reduce customs clearance time and costs for businesses.
In the fields of agriculture and rural development, emulation movements have significantly contributed to changing the face of rural areas. From 2020 to the present, the total resources mobilized for the New Rural Development Program have reached over 34,000 billion VND. Many localities have effectively promoted the role of people as the main actors in building infrastructure and developing production. Emulation movements for the poor have also achieved many positive results. By 2025, the poverty rate in the province is expected to decrease to 2.32%. In particular, the "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" movement has created a strong ripple effect. By the end of 2025, the entire province will complete 6,508 houses; by the end of May 2026, support will continue to be provided to people to eliminate more than 1,300 temporary and dilapidated houses.
In the field of administrative reform and digital transformation, emulation movements have created a clear shift in serving the people. From the beginning of 2026 to the present, the entire province has received nearly 85,000 administrative procedure dossiers, with the rate of timely and on-time resolution reaching over 96%; the rate of citizen satisfaction reached 100%.
In addition, emulation movements in the fields of education, health, culture, and the activities of mass organizations have been widely implemented, contributing to the successful achievement of the province's development goals. A notable feature is that these movements are closely linked to the province's political tasks and practical effectiveness, and are in harmony with the nationwide emulation movements.

Recently, in the emulation movement to celebrate the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Congresses of political and social organizations for the 2026-2031 term, political and social organizations throughout the province have strived to achieve accomplishments and build many meaningful projects and tasks. Ms. Vu Thi Kim Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Dong Kinh Ward, said: The Women's Union of Dong Kinh Ward recently handed over the "Women's Flower Road" project in Yen Thanh block on June 7, 2026. Along the project route, the union planted 725 string of pearls plants, 100 hibiscus plants, and installed a national flag road with 30 flagpoles. The total cost of the project was 20 million VND from social contributions. The project contributes to creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, building a civilized urban appearance, and at the same time demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and cooperation of female officials and members in community activities.
Patriotic emulation movements have become an important driving force for the socio-economic development of the province. Through emulation, the sense of responsibility, initiative, and creativity of cadres, Party members, and the people are promoted, creating a combined strength to achieve goals and tasks.
From the patriotic emulation movement initiated by President Ho Chi Minh to today's practice, the patriotic emulation movement continues to affirm its role as an important driving force for development. With increasingly substantive approaches, emulation movements are contributing to creating a new momentum and impetus for the rapid and sustainable development of the province in the new period.
