At the close of trading today (November 4th), the VN-Index rose 34.98 points (2.16%) to 1,651.98 points, the HNX-Index increased 6.73 points (2.6%) to 265.91 points, and the UPCoM-Index rose 0.65 points (0.57%) to 115.28 points.
The VN30-Index rose 40.07 points (2.16%) to 1,897.71 points.
The VN30 basket showed positive signs with 24 gainers and only 5 losers. The trio of SSI, VPB, and VRE were the focal points, hitting their upper limit with no sellers.

In today's session, the leading stock groups in the market included: VPB up 6.88%, TCB up 4.17%, MBB up 3.9%, STB up 3.06%, LPB up 1.97%, andACB up 2.16%.
The "Vin" group of stocks also saw positive gains, with VIC rising 2.87%, VHM 1.73%, and VRE 6.86%. These three stocks collectively contributed over 6 points to the VN-Index.
Stock prices also rose quite sharply. Besides SSI, VCI, VND, VIX, SHS, CTS, ORS, VDS, and DSR also increased to their maximum allowed limit. Dozens of other stocks in this group increased by 2-6%.
Conversely, some stocks put pressure on the market, such asFPT , down 1.62%; PNJ, down 3.12%; and GMD, down 1.75%. Other stocks that surged during the session included FRT, VPL, CTD, DGC, GAS, BMP, SJS, and KDC.
Banking stocks soared in today's trading session, with green dominating the market. Only a few stocks declined, such as KLB and BAB.
Total market liquidity reached over 38,000 billion VND, with HoSE accounting for over 34,244 billion VND. On the HoSE, green dominated with 189 gainers and 117 losers. Foreign investors returned to net buying of over 1,070 billion VND.
The market recovered after several consecutive days of decline, but securities firms still advise investors to exercise caution when making decisions.
Viet Dragon Securities (VDSC) suggests that investors may consider taking profits or restructuring their portfolios to minimize risk during the upcoming upward price movements.
On the buying side, if portfolio weighting is at a reasonable level, investors can consider waiting to buy short-term in some stocks that have quickly retreated to strong support zones and have good discounts compared to their peaks.
Similarly, BIDV Securities (BSC) believes that the market continues to trade unpredictably, and investors should trade cautiously in the coming sessions.
