According to the Ministry of Finance (Price Management Department), the supply and demand situation in the market on January 30, 2025, the second day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, showed no unusual price fluctuations. Market prices generally remained relatively stable compared to the first day of the Lunar New Year.
On the second day of the Lunar New Year, many markets, supermarkets, and shopping malls remained closed for the holiday. However, in addition to some supermarkets and stores that remained open throughout the holiday, such as Aeon Mall and Gigamall from the first day, several large supermarket chains like Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, BigC, and Go! reopened today, the second day of the Lunar New Year, operating from 8 am to 10 pm to serve the shopping needs of essential goods, ensuring an uninterrupted supply chain and allowing people to easily shop during the first days of the new year.
Some small local markets also opened on the first day of the new year, mainly selling fresh flowers, vegetables, spices, roots, and fruits. In Ho Chi Minh City, besides some convenience store chains like Family Mart, GS25, Kingfood Mart... which operate throughout Tet and remain open 24/7, on the second day of Tet, some supermarkets such as Coop Mart and Satra... also reopened, but with shorter operating hours than usual to serve the shopping needs of the people.
In Da Nang and Can Tho cities, some supermarkets and shops have reopened. On New Year's Day, people mainly visited relatives and friends, went sightseeing, and paid respects at temples and pagodas. The basic motorbike parking fee remained unchanged at 5,000 VND, although some smaller temples and pagodas had unofficial parking areas charging 10,000-20,000 VND per motorbike, though these were not common.
