The Bookworm Hanoi was founded in 2001, stemming from the owner's love of books.

For over 20 years, The Bookworm Hanoi has been a familiar destination for lovers of foreign language books in Hanoi . After several relocations, the bookstore is now situated on Pham Hong Thai Street, attracting not only domestic readers but also many international tourists.

Mr. Hoang Van Truong (far left) - the owner of the bookstore - is always busy with work at his shop. The Bookworm Hanoi came to Mr. Truong by chance. While studying for his second degree at the Foreign Trade University in 2006, he took over the bookstore from his Australian godparents. That coincidence led him to become involved with books, a connection he continues to this day.

On the first floor, The Bookworm Hanoi offers a wide variety of children's books, both domestic and international. Several domestic publishers, such as Kim Dong and Tre, also have books translated into English, catering to international readers.

The atmosphere in the bookstore is gentle and peaceful. Besides books, the bookstore also displays many paintings, memorabilia, and other items, creating an artistic space.

Readers find peace of mind in a space like The Bookworm Hanoi. Here, readers can sit and read books anywhere, from the cafe area on the first floor, the book area on the second floor, to right on the staircase leading upstairs.

Currently, Bookworm boasts over 20,000 books across various genres. From literature, history, and culture to economics and art, almost every field can be found here. The bookstore is also famous for its wide selection of second-hand books, allowing readers easy access to rare or discontinued titles at reasonable prices.

A representative from The Bookworm stated that the book space here holds many memories. "The lifeblood of every bookstore is its readers. Every customer who comes here leaves a mark on us," the store representative said.
