For over four years, the "Border Region Lesson" model, led by Major Nguyen Van Nga, a youth union member of the Tuy Duc Border Guard Station, has organized 110 sessions of propaganda and teaching for 3,120 teachers and students of all levels, both within and outside the province.
Through this, the model has contributed to disseminating and equipping officials, teachers, students, and people in the area with basic knowledge about borders and territorial sovereignty , helping each citizen to be aware of their responsibility to strictly abide by the laws on national borders; and to better understand, empathize with, and share the difficulties and hardships of border guards stationed at the country's borders.

Beyond the "Border Region Lesson" model, embodying the qualities of a "Soldier of Uncle Ho," Major Nguyen Van Nga, undeterred by difficulties, is always deeply involved in the local area, actively propagating and mobilizing people to strictly abide by the law and border regulations. He also actively participates in the nationwide movement to protect national sovereignty and border security in the new situation, in accordance with Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 9, 2015, of the Prime Minister . To enhance the effectiveness of his propaganda, Major Nga proactively updates information, designs propaganda content, creates infographics, and prints leaflets... with eye-catching formats and concise, easy-to-understand, and memorable content.
According to Major Nga, the Tuy Duc Border Guard Post is responsible for managing over 10km of the Vietnam-Cambodia border and the area of Dak Buk So commune (Tuy Duc district). As one of the areas with a large ethnic minority population, where living standards and educational levels are low, the Party Committee and the unit's Command have identified propaganda and mobilization of the people as a key priority. Major Nga herself also believes that to do a good job of mobilizing the people, she must be more closely connected with them; helping the people is like working for her own family and unit.

Deeply committed to understanding the difficulties faced by people in border areas, Major Nguyen Van Nga advised his unit to call upon philanthropists to provide financial and material assistance to local residents, totaling 300 million VND; he also implemented a sponsorship program for three students with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, "Helping Children Go to School," providing them with 500,000 VND per month.
From 2018 to the present, in his capacity as Secretary of the Youth Union Branch, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities of an energetic, dedicated, and responsible Youth Union official, leading the Branch to promote various movements and volunteer activities for the community, implementing many practical initiatives such as the "Border Region Lesson" model, "Border Guard's Scissors"...
In addition, he and the Youth Union branch coordinated with the Tuy Duc District Youth Union and the Dak Buk So Commune Youth Union (Tuy Duc) to organize meaningful volunteer programs and activities such as participating in helping and supporting local people with harvesting crops (contributing 55 man-days), repairing 7 houses, renovating 12.5 km of roads; pouring concrete for schoolyards, overcoming difficulties at schools in the area…
Through his own efforts, he has excellently completed the assigned tasks, helping the unit achieve many practical results, and earning the trust and affection of his comrades, colleagues, and the people.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Hieu, Deputy Head of Political Affairs of the Dak Nong Provincial Border Guard, assessed: “Major Nguyen Van Nga is an energetic, enthusiastic, and responsible officer in carrying out his assigned duties. As the Secretary of the Youth Union, he has proactively advised the unit and, together with the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, has carried out many practical activities that have left a good impression and fostered positive feelings among the people in the area where the border post is located.”
